My attetion drew from the red eyed deputy to the beatiful figure of Nightwing. His heart fluttered a little bit, but he managed to try to ignore it. "Hey Nightwing." He smiled a friendly smile only cats from his clan had the privilage to see. His black fur tingled a little bit as it gazed upon Nightwing. He gulped, trying to keep his cool...

Soulpaw of frostclan
This is soulpaws first gathering. She looked around to see many cats of all different clans. She has never seen a sunclan cat nor earthclan or moonclan cats. She followed her leader into the clearing, she looked up at the stars,'wow their is alot of stars' she thought to her self. She quickly saw cinnamonpelt talking to another medicine cat. She walked up to her.

Lostpaw looked up as Smokepaw came over. No one ever talked to her during gatherings, and she liked it that way. But, she couldn't help if the young apprentice decided to talk to someone within her own clan, so she tried to put on a friendly face and grinned at Smokepaw. "Well hey there Smokepaw! How are you?" she meowed in the friendliest voice she could get.

Dragonstar nodded to Oceanstar, and calmly wrapped her tail around her paws. She was the eldest of the leaders, and was by far the most experienced. No one contradicted her judgment, but simply debated it. Her word was taken for wise, and even the other leaders, her equals, respected that. Once again the thought of retirement flickered through her mind, but she dismissed it again, for the same reason. She sighed deeply, her fur bristling and then lying flat as the sigh rippled throughout her body. It was a slow, sad sigh, and could not be mistaken for that of a content sigh. Every time she thought of Rockleafe, she resented becoming leader. She treated every cat's life like they were her responsibility, and more important than her own, which is true. But if one of them dies, it feels to her like they have taken another one of her nine lives with them...
Since she had nothing to say at the moment, Dragonstar simply stared ahead, not looking at anything in particular. Yes, Rockleafe had died valiantly, protecting her Clan, which was the most honorable death any cat could wish for, but it didn't make her death any easier.... The shroud of darkness that enclosed the cats in the clearing was starting to unnerve her. Death, silence, and darkness made her memory flash back to every time she lost a life. Leaders must really have 99 lives, she thought to herself, or they would never live to see more than three of their Clanmates die, no matter how. It was odd to her, then, that this death was so unsettling. She had seen at least a dozen of her warriors die at her side, and at least one or two deputies, but she never remembered the aftermath of such was this bad.
Sighing again, Dragonstar waited for Morningstar to show up, so she could just get this over with. If the ginger cat had to wait any longer to say for the last time that EarthClan had a new deputy, she might explode. It was not that she was looking forward, it was simply the fact that she did not want to dwell on such news any longer than she had to. The fact that her Clan had missed the last gathering would have annoyed the other Clans, but they would just have to get over it. A loyal Clanmate, deputy, and friend had died, saving her Clan from a vicious evil. If the other Clans had a problem with that, they could see how it felt themselves. Right now, she wanted to rake the ear off of any warrior that decided they wanted to know what happened.

She looked down at where her deputy was, but didn't see Rockleafe, but instead saw Brakenclaw. So that was what was getting at the EarthCLn leader. Rockleafe must have died. But she also saw a cat with red eyes like her deputy sitting by her daughter, Nightwing. What was he doing with her? She seemed to be enjoying his presents though. She still didn't feel that good. Darkpaw of Earthclan ~Darkpaw's eyes grew very wide, and very round. There were so many cats here! She had never been to a gathering before! She had gotten distracted on the way to the gathering, and had fallen behind. She had only just gotten to Star Trees. She could only manage to squeak out one word.~ Wow. ~Then, she saw Firepaw and hurried off to sit beside him. She was outgoing, yes, but there were so many cats, she would feel awkward just going up to sit beside a random apprentice that she didn't know.~ Nightpaw of Moonclan ~Nightpaw's first gathering. She looked around, searching for someone that she knew. Then, she changed her mind. Why search for someone she knew? Why not meet a possible future opponent. Her eyes wandered around Star Trees, searching for an apprentice or warrior who was alone, or in a small crowd. She saw a small black cat with pale blue eyes, and padded over to him. Small like me... Nightpaw thought as she sat down in the shadows, half a tail length away from Scourgepaw.~ Hi. I'm Nightpaw.

Silverpool padded into the clearing, about in the middle of the Clan. She had felt exhausted lately, and she hoped that she wasn't coming down with something. At least it would give her an excuse not to talk to MoonClan cats like Morningstar had asked. She didn't understand why everyone had to fight. Violence wasn't always a solution... she padded over to Cherrypine, a FrostClan warrior. "Hi, Cherrypine." she meowed softly. She had met the tom before, and she noticed that he seemed to be taking a fancy to Nightwing. She chuckled to herself, then said, "How is the prey running?" [/size]

The SunClan deputy bounded into the clearing after their leader. Morningstar really seems to want a battle with MoonClan. Is this really only about Leafkit vanishing?he wondered. The light ginger tom came to a stop at the foot of where all the leaders stood. The rest of his clan were catching up. Glancing over at the MoonClan cats, he peered closely at each cat's face. None of them showed any signs of anything they might have done. His observation only strengthened his doubts. Leafkit isn't with them, he decided.
Scarpaw
The light furred tom padded restly through his clans ranks. He didn't know any cat from the other clans. Bored, the apprentice licked a paw, looking at the whole crowd of cats, their scents mingling together. The EarthClan leader seemed burdened with something, but he didn't pay much attention. What went on in other clans couldn't affect Moon Clan that much, could it? I don't think so.
Firepaw
I wonder what Dragonstar must feel like right now. Who wants to announce a cat's death so publicly?Firepaw shot a glance at his mentor and deputy, Brackenclaw. He seemed alright, despite the fact that Rockleaf had died. Maybe being deputy helps. The flame colored cat stretched, and padded towards some cats from other clans. "Hi!" he meowed.
