-----DESTINY OF NO CLAN----- Water. That was the word that continued to repeat itself inside this cats mind. She could scent it now, and hear it. It had to be close. Her paws quickened in speed across the forest floor as she allowed instinct to take over her mind and body. For many enduring days had she journeyed to find a new home; days in which she often had little to drink. Where do you find water in such barren places as she had been? No matter, for if there was indeed a cool stream nearby, her travels would be complete. Or would they?
The closer she drew the faster she ran until she was practically flying across the ground. She was strengthened by the thought of a new home, so despite the weariness she held, her steps never stumbled. With each stride her paws landed with a dull thump, and rose a small cloud of dust. Ahead of her loomed a wall of large green bushes. Instinct pushed her to attempt the jump so she she could sooner reach the water; her mind contradicted that it was too dangerous and she would never make it, that it would be better to try and push through. It is likely she would have attempted the leap were it not for the scent that next hit her. Cats! She slid to a stop in the cover of the bushes and sighed. The troubles of a wanderer never cease. She briefly contemplated the next step to take before agreeing with her logical side that she was much too tired to do anything other then calmly approach. So that is what she did. With a deep breath and a murmured word of encouragement to herself, she pushed forward into the clearing where the others lurked. [green]Lonefire's eyes glinted. Just how many loners are there? He thought to himself grumpily. But there was something about the way the newcomer's sapphire eyes sparkled. Glancing over at her, he realized that she looked exhausted. His green eyes locked with hers, and he felt a surge of pity for the she-cat. It was obvious that she was not from around here, her strange scent wafting to his black nose, but she had an air of calmness and authority that could fool any cat. She looked young, however, younger even than himself at 14 moons. She was small too, about the size of a cat eight or nine moons. Unable to speak, he could only stare, a little dazed, at the new cat. ~*AMBER OF NO WHERE*~
Amber saw how the warrior was looking at the new cat and saw that there was a good meaning to the way he was looking at her and he zoned off looking at her fur and then her face then her eyes and he could not help him self but he did not hear anything he just stood there looking at the wonderful she-cat
~*IVY OF NO WHERE*~
Ivy saw Amber looking at the new cat she could not stop her self but to say "how could you Amber" she ran off before anyone could stop her as she was running she looked back and and all she saw was light rising into the sky "Amber Amber Amber" she whispered softly she could not stop running and she left the moonclan territory
~*AMBER OF NO WHERE*~
Amber saw dust fly up into the air and then he saw that Ivy had left but something made him stay but he did not know what "hello my fellow loner what brings you to this part of the forest" Amber said softly "I have not seen you before this day" Amber said Amber looked at the sun rising into the sky and it reminded him of what he had to life for he saw something running and it got closer and closer and he scented "DOG" he yowled he ran into the near by wall of bushes "COME ON" he yelled at the new cat but he did not see her so he jumped out with his hair standing on end and the dog was drooling on his head he slashed at the huge dog (((MOST LIKELY A GRATE DANE)))) and the dog hit his side with his head that was as big as a cat amber was spiting into the dogs eye as he jumped onto the dogs back and Amber racked his claws down his neck and back and the dog tossed him onto the ground and the dog bit Amber's leg Amber yowled at the pain and amber cut the both of the dogs eyes and the dog went blind and the dog ran off and Amber layed on the ground in pain

-----DESTINY OF NO CLAN----- The only acknowledgement given to the she-cats question was the twitch of one brown rimmed ear. Why she was here was no business of theirs. Her sapphire eyes gazed deep into the faces of the three cats, searching for any sign of hostility. They lingered on the ebony tom longer than they had the others as she stared into his emerald pools. Then she blinked, and the contact broke. Satisfied that none of them seemed to have intentions to battle her, she walked forward with quick, deliberate steps. She had come here for water, and water she would have.
Her soft pink tongue flicked out over her lips, licking off the last few drops of water. She was surprised to see that the she-cat was no longer amongst them, but cared not where she had gone. One less cat she would have to have to worry about. A moment later the words of the other male loner reached her, and feeling refreshed from the cool, sweet forest water, she parted her lips to reply when a new scent reached her. Dog! She immediately recognized the scent as that of the horrid creatures two-legs kept as pets. Without a word to those around her, she dashed quickly behind a bush. A moment later the snarling of the best caught her attention and she peeked out from her hiding place. Her tail twitched in annoyance and she hissed when she spied one loner defending himself from the dog. Idiot tom! She settled her weight onto her hind legs, preparing to leap out and help. However, just before she made her move she heard a whistle and the dog bounded off.
A moment later she was back in the center of the clearing, deciding her next move. The ebony tom had yet to show himself again, though his scent was still fresh in the air. Her eyes kept flickering down toward the injured cat at her feet. Help him. She sighed, knowing the thought was correct. Conversing with the other would have to wait for later. She trotted a few paces and swatted down a spider web with her paw. When you lived alone, you had to know how to care for yourself. She pressed the web onto the toms wounded leg to assist in stopping the bleeding. This was certainly turning into an interesting day. x.x Salisona when do you want them to get together? A few days later in a new thread? x.x
Lonefire had no idea what was going on. A heartbeat ago, the mesmerizing she-cat had shown up, but the rest was a blur. Had he really just stood there while a dog attacked another loner? Shaking himself, he realized that he must've moved, because prickly things were digging into his coat. Jumping up, he hit his head on a holly branch, and he just barely contained a squeal as a leaf made contact with his nose. I'm such a mousebrain! In his confusion, he must've turned back into what he really is, a shadow, solitary and far away from danger. Coming out slowly, he saw that one of the loners was badly hurt from the attack, and the she-cat was tending to him. Silently he padded over to the wounded tom, his eyes widened. He had never really seen a cat this injured before - probably because he kept to himself. He watched, still silent as the night, as the cat got up stiffly, and he sighed. Wounded cats made him nervous, and he didn't want to seem weak in front of all of these cats.
Going over to the she-cat, the loner meowed, "I'm Lonefire..." as he hoped that the pure darkness of the night would hide the embarrassment that shone within him, making his fur feel hot. It was impossible to explain why exactly he felt embarrassed, but then again he never really was a social cat. His mother dead, and his father left him at 6 moons... the life of a loner had been harsh on his heart. The wind rustled again, sending a shiver down his spine. Had there been a moon, it would be long past moonhigh, and it would only get colder before dawn. His onyx fur was spiked with dots of blood here and there that were slowly drying, and in some cases even starting to freeze, but he didn't seem to notice. All of his thoughts were trained on one thing - the cat who mysteriously appeared and smelled of far away.
Looking up into her sapphire eyes, he hoped to get a name out of this mysterious new cat. There was no way to define the feelings inside of him, and being a solitary cat, he of all cats could not identify the signs of something more than mere curiosity. Had he been older than only 14 moons, he might have been able to identify the feelings stirring their way through his brain and heart, but since he's not, he couldn't. His tail twitched awkwardly as he waited for a response, his green eyes glowing in the darkness. Long ago he had forgotten that he was acting like a Clan cat, the she-cat captivating his undivided attention. He had no reason, really, to act like a Clan cat anymore, since he would be leaving soon anyway. The sheer confidence of him pretending to be a Clan cat astounded him, and the fact that the other cats believed him, at least for the time being, would be a hassle later.
A deep rumble reminded him that he still had not eaten, save a few bites out of the goby that he had caught before the other rogues and loners had come along. But before he even so much as moved away from the slow moving river, he had to find out what the name of the she-cat is, and he wasn't going to give in to his solitary instincts, to simply be alone no matter the cost, again. This might be the only chance he would get to learn about this new cat, and his curiosity was far more important than practical thinking at this point. While some cats would simply leave at the sight of three or four hostile cats, those hostile cats thought he was backed up by a whole Clan, and he should seem as confident as ever. Not to mention that he did not care what the other cats would do - Lonefire had been running his entire life, and was very adept at losing other cats on his trail. Therefore, he had no reason at all to be afraid of any cat, as he was a good fighter as well as, should the need arise, a good runner as well.
Lonefire remembered how she had so gracefully and confidently strode over to the river to get some water, seemingly undaunted by the amount of cats that could easily be hostile. That alone sparked respect for the young she-cat, as not every cat would be as bold in the face of looming, imminent danger as she. Everything about her seemed to be close to perfect, her sapphire eyes seeming to sparkle of their own accord, and depth! He just knew he could drown in the infinite deep pools of blue that looked at him with such confidence. Most cats are wary of him, being a lone cat that doesn't make conversation easily, but she seemed to be that way as well, and he was determined to understand more about this cat - and perhaps learn more about himself in the process.

-----DESTINY OF NO CLAN-----
She dipped her finely featured head to show that the toms murmured thanks had been heard as she stepped back to allow him his space. In her mind what she had done was of minimal importance, being nothing she believed any other cat with a sense of what was right would not have done. However, she was glad that her small deed was appreciated.
As him-she-had-helped struggled to his paws, her attention became diverted. A moment ago she had been sure of rustling leaves to her right, and now her sharp ears had detected what she thought were soft pawsteps. The sensitive hair along her back prickled as she prepared for an attack. Why did trouble seem so inexplicably drawn to her?
Her hind legs were tightly bunched, ready to propel her body forward when an almost familiar scent wafted past her. The other. A simple realization perhaps, but one that immediately allowed her muscles to relax and fur to lay flat once more. Now that she looked, really looked, the shadowy form of the quiet loner could be distinguished from the surrounding darkness.
”I’m Lonefire…”
A strange yet delightful tingling feeling crept over her body as the words reached her ears. Why they pulled such a reaction from her she did not know. She had only just met the tom for goodness sakes! Yet, She thought. I feel drawn to him as I do no other.Setting aside her conflicting feelings, she parted her mouth to give a reply, her musical voice floating softly through the air between them. ”Lonefire. A nice name, though one I have never heard the likes of before. I am…” Her voice trailed off. Who was she? She knew she had a name, but it had been so very long since it had been used, it seemed to have escaped her. ”Destiny.” She suddenly blurted out, then repeated herself in a less frantic tone. ”I am known as Destiny.”She used the moments following her words and before Lonefire’s reply to discern what she could from his shadowy appearance. His eyes of course she was already aware of, emerald pools of unmeasurable depth, currently holding an undying hint of curiosity. Farther than that though, all she could see in this light was his slight build, long legs, and size that hinted his age to be little more than her own. But those eyes. She thought. Those eyes… -----following my heart no matter the consequences-----

Destiny... what an extraordinary name for an extraordinary cat... Lonefire's tail tip twitched as he looked into those eyes, almost unable to look away. As he finally broke contact with the sapphire pools of mystery, his fur bristled as he heard the other cat address him like he was kittypet scum, and then turn to Destiny like he was king of all cats! The nerve! And how he just flung such a measly bit of prey at him, like he wasn't worth more! I'll show him! he thought to himself, snorting with contempt at the attitude of the other tom. "Thank you, but I know how to hunt for myself," he meowed curtly, even icily, his green eyes slits, "foxdung" he added, making it just loud enough for the obnoxious tom to hear him. No one talked like that to Lonefire, no matter how young he may look. That cat had just crossed the line, and he was going to pay, one way or another.
Making sure that a little bit of dirt was on top of the rogue's kill as well as the mouse as his small black paws turned in the earth, he headed to the edge of the clearing, hoping, desperately hoping, that he would make an extravagant kill to show up the snobby piece of mouse-dung. If he was going to treat him like a kit that's in everyone's way, then that's how he would treat the annoying loner. Just because he was younger and more able didn't give him the right to walk all over someone that stupid tom had never met! Snorting quietly to himself in disgust, he lifted his nose into the never-dying wind, he scented a rabbit, a rare find near the bank of a river. Grinning ever so slightly to himself, he crept up on it, exaggerating caution as he did not want to mess this up. He could see its silhouette now, his keen green eyes picking up a shadow that was thicker than it should be.
Unsheathing his claws, Lonefire pounced, his supple muscles acting in unison, moving perfectly beneath his thin fur. He raked his ivory claws, glinting in the small amount of light coming from Silverpelt, into and down the prey's throat, killing the unfortunate rabbit within a few heartbeats. Good and plump, too! he thought to himself, pleased with his prowess, Now for a fish. Padding towards the river, swerving around a cattail, thinking to himself just how badly he wanted to humiliate that filthy flea-bag, he stopped right on the edge of the bank. His ears perked up as he strained to hear any sound that would signal the presence of prey. All thoughts of the other two cats was wiped out of his mind, like his sole purpose in living was to catch a fish. All he could hear was the constant rush of water, so he would have to rely on his eyes to catch his second fish of the night.
Carpe diem! he thought to himself grimly, relying on his keen eyes to pick up the looming but barely noticeable shadow of a carp in the water. Raising his right paw, claws unsheathed, he plunged it into the water, the shock of the icy water daunting, threatening to cover his whole being. Narrowing his eyes as the coldness swept up his leg, he managed to haul the fish out of the water, but his paw had gotten excruciatingly numb. Placing his paw down very gingerly, he slashed out at the fish angrily, watching as it slowly died. How mousebrained he had been! He should have known better to fish in an almost iced-over river. Anger at his own stupidity consumed him, rising, enveloping the very fiber of his being for a minute, threatening to bubble up into an angry, earsplitting yowl. Containing himself, he merely raged silently, digging up some of the spongy earth with his free paw.
Sighing, the onyx tom known as Lonefire knew what he had to do so he wouldn't lose the paw. However knowing something and liking it are completely different.... Grimacing, he put his paw, which he still could not feel, into the body of the rabbit, he face contorting as he felt some stuff that he would rather be eating, not feeling. Some things you should just eat and not look at, and such was the way of the predator. However, he felt almost immediate relief and pulled his paw out, licking the blood off of it and warming it with his tongue. Then he promptly collected his prey and headed back to the clearing, tail high. He was an exceptional hunter for his age, and that flea-bitten rogue needed to know it. Just because that tom was injured, didn't mean he could get away with giving Lonefire a pitiful catch, no matter how "injured" he was. Padding back into the clearing, he hissed at the tom as he passed, but could not speak as he had prey in his mouth still.
Putting down the prey, he settled, glaring at the tom. "So, Destiny, where are you from?" he said, ignoring the tom as he cut through the scales of the clueless chordata he had just caught. He needed a reason to hear her meow again, the soothing melody of words that came from her maw. Also curiosity was one of his biggest flaws, and he had never scented the likes of her before! His experience was that of a warrior, but his experience and social skills with other cats had never really developed, as he preferred to not be around any other cats if possible. He was trying to act casual, but he knew he must be failing at it, for he could feel the nervousness that made his tail twitch involuntarily at time to time. Hoping, desperately hoping that Destiny as well as the flea-bitten rogue who had been so rude to him would not see it, he continued to strip the scales off of the carp, not quite making eye contact with either cats.

-----DESTINY OF NO CLAN-----
The try-to-be-wise words of him-who-was-Amber did nothing for the moon-colored she-cat. In fact they extracted only irritation which was expressed by the quick twitch of her tail, and the soft hiss that whistled through her teeth. However, even with the annoyance, Destiny spoke not a word. She was unwilling to do anything that might bring the bothersome tom happiness, and that included gracing him with the sound of her voice. She preferred to reveal her emotions with actions anyway. Yes, her emotions; feelings that came straight from her heart. Suppressing them and acting otherwise was to her a form of lying which she did her best to avoid.
Despite her evident hostilities toward the tom, she accepted the plump vole he presented to her. Indeed, her first thought was to scornfully reject it as a sight of the frustration she currently felt toward him, but she had reminded herself in time that it was a mousebrained thing to waste good prey because of a speck of conflict. It was stupid things such as that which were often the root rights sprang from. At least she would have a fair meal before continuing down the unrevealing path of life.
As her sharp teeth pierced the small animals flesh and the still-warm blood leaked out onto her tongue, Destiny realized how hungry she really was. That was probably on account of not having had anything to eat since early that morning. She was relishing the taste, suddenly appreciative to Amer's act, when Lonefire surprised her wish an outburst. What with all those thoughts spiraling around her brain the tom had managed to slip away from her mind. But she was glad he was standing up for himself, Amber had treated him with nothing but contempt. The edge of her mouth twitched in the beginnings of a smiled. As Lonefire stormed off she knew but one thing, and that was that the onyx tom now held her full attention.
Her sapphire eyes shone with curiosity as she observed the tom. What would he do to spite the other loner? The answer would show itself soon enough, for several minutes later Lonefire was off along the bank chasing a rabbit. For a few short moments it looked as if the prey might escape him, and Destiny found herself hoping it would not. As his muscles bunched, rippling under his pelt, it became apparent that she had been wrong to doubt his abilities. The tom was a formidable hunter. It was then the thought wandered by her that perhaps he was doing this to impress. Instead of bringing around the wave of resentment as she figured the thought would, a rather pleasurable sensation ran through her body; pleasure that someone might care that much for her. You're falling for him. She chastised herself, yet she paid the reprimand no mind. So what if she liked him? It was a perfectly normal feeling for cats her age.
After having made his spectacular kill of the rabbit, Destiny expected the loner to return. In her mind he had outdone Amber with that one catch. But Lonefire obviously felt differently, for he padded now over to the stream. Fish! The swimming, scaled creature was as a delicacy to her, for she had never been able to perfect the art of catching them. And the stream water was so cold, perhaps...too late. She was just about to speak a warning when the tom's paw had flashed out and plunged into the icy liquid. Then, as quick as light, it emerged with a wriggling fish which got tossed onto the bank.
Even as the tom set his paw in the rabbits body to save it from the cold, a faint smile touched the she-cats maw. If Lonefire had in fact been trying to impress her, then he had done a fine job. When the tom returned and lay down hear her, Destiny's tail twitched in pleasure. She had all but forgotten about Amber by this point. Her ears pricked forward as the dark-pelted loner spoke. He was asking where she had come from. "Well, " She started, suddenly hesitant about talking. "let us just say for now that I have been to many places, none of which provided me with an incentive to stay." It was not the answer he wanted, she knew that, but her past was not a subject she talked of very freely. But maybe Lonefire was different. "How about you?" Her voice was filled with genuine curiosity. The scents of many other cats was all around her, and she wanted to know why. And after all, if she was going to fall in love with the tom, then by golly she should know something about him.

(. DONE! and a record of 1,300 words! WOOT! .)
Lonefire grinned slightly, completely prepared for the mysterious cat’s answer. His claws, which were busily stripping the fish of its scales, stopped momentarily as he took in the answer and thought about it, as well as the request for information about himself. Frankly, he had expected her to guard such things, as after all, the past is a very powerful thing. All though he would have liked to know more about Destiny - no, there was something more than just a simple curiosity, something he could not quite put his paw on yet - the answer still seized his interest and magnified it far beyond what it was before. She had made it extremely obvious that she had at least a slightly interesting past life; otherwise, she would not be so prudent that no one should know it. Nor was he willing to share his life story, to an extent, at least. It was the opposite of extraordinary, and forthrightly a tad tragic. His mother dead before he even knew her, his father deserted him… no, his past was not one to gloat about, nor was he one to gloat. However, he had placed himself in a unique situation, one that he probably would not be able to take advantage of if his life did indeed depend on it.
Lonefire was not one to lie, nor was he good at it in any sense of the word at all. Happily, he recognized that he had managed to convince the other cats that he was a Clan cat, be it a young, inexperienced one at that, but that was the extent of his successes as a liar. Honestly, lying made him nervous to an extreme, and sometimes he even let it show, which does not fit in with his quiet, shadowy personality. If he made the wrong move and some other cat noticed, never again would he be able to use that trick again, and there are only so many things a cat can say that will pass. And should a cat not notice the first time, and then you got something wrong later along the way, they would wonder where you got the original information to begin with! Oh, what to say… he pondered to himself, knowing that he would have to think fast. But before he could say anything, that… that thing piped up, and there was an excruciatingly slim chance that he was going to say something nice.
Lonefire shook his head slowly, trying to keep his temper in check. He could tell that he wasn’t about to be mutual friends with that annoying, mousebrained rogue by the name of Amber. First he had made fun of him, and now he was making fun of a large, massive collection of cats that could crush him within a heartbeat. He was going to kill himself! Hardly, barely managing not to slash his claws through Amber and end his pitiful suffering on this planet in one easy swipe, he quoted with a tinge of dignity in his voice “ Stones are raw, they blunt my paw, but words will never hurt me,” a little saying his father had come up with. A saying for kits, but it was true nonetheless. Now he had no choice. He would have to say something that would keep Destiny from straying towards the spiteful rogue. Saying such a saying as he had just said showed that he still had morales, and one of those was to not let beautiful young she-cats fall for spiteful old bone-bags such as Amber.
Would she be worth the effort if she did like Amber? Lonefire thought to himself, thoroughly perplexed at the idea. Any cat who found any part of that rogue’s personality appealing was not the cat for him, nor any other decent tom out there. No, he was sure that Destiny was worth it, even if he was trying to win her simply so Amber would not. But that was so unlike him... Foxdung! he cursed silently to himself. He had come to like the mysterious cat, and there was no escaping her sapphire gaze now, and for the record, he wasn't sure he wanted to. Pausing for effect, he meowed, “ My past is not one that concerns a mousebrain like you,” flicking his tail at Amber, “Nor could your dim intelligence understand even the core of my life.” There was no turning back now - he had made his choice about Destiny - at least for the moment. Amber would have to just suck it up, Lonefire wasn’t the type to give in easily!
Eyes narrowed, Lonefire was pleased with himself. He had stood up to another cat instead of slinking away! Maybe, just maybe, that mystery cat had given him the courage to do so. Maybe he was finally getting rid of the shadow that had haunted him, dictating what to do and turning him into a solitary, lonely cat. Perhaps StarClan shone on him. He didn't care how it had happened, he just cared that it did happen. He could tell that Destiny had her full attention on him, and, StarClan help him, he liked it! Under normal circumstances, he hated any cat's eyes to meet his own, as he would like to avoid seeing any part of another cat all together. Obviously, this was not normal, or he would not even be here at this point talking with other cats. He would have already slunk away into the night, leaving the two cats alone as he pondered his lonely, and frankly boring life that he now led.
His head shivered slightly as the uneasiness returned, wiping away any resistance to the shadow within him. Letting out a small, silent sigh, he knew that he simply was not the type to stand up for anyone, including himself. It had just been a momentary phase, and now it was gone. Destiny would hate him, of that he was sure. Standing up for himself, and then simply slinking away? That was not what a self-respecting tom would do, so if he gave in to the shadow now, no one would like him at all or respect him enough to keep out of his way, and that's all he really asked of other cats. If they found where he had lived his days alone, he simply asked if they would keep it that way, and drive them from his territory without mercy if they decided to get all smart and "This is my territory now" on him. He practiced fighting a lot, and the frequent visitors he got only made him better. He may slink away from a lot of things, but a den was a den, and htat was his and his alone.
Hence, Lonefire was quite torn between two very different emotions and scenarios. On one hand, he could stay here and not leave Destiny here with Amber, which is what his heart desperately wanted to do. If he followed that path, however, he would probably have to fight Amber and he did not want to do that at all. His mind, on the other hand, told him to leave as quickly as possible, and forget about the moon-colored she-cat once and for all. But if he did that, he would lose the respect of the only cat who had ever shown interest in him, and Amber would probably be able to track him down to Lonefire's personal den. Both choices had their consequences and there were certain aspects about both that pleased him...but he had to give in to his heart. He could always leave later, right? Now all he had to do was hide any conflicting feelings from Amber, as that would seem a weakness and lead to a preemptive battle over nothing. Lonefire would simply be defending himself, but he still would be able to defeat the other tom with his claws sheathed, but that would just make him angrier...

-----DESTINY OF NO CLAN-----
Destiny pushed away the partially eaten vole, her hunger having suddenly vanished. It seemed to her that she had made it crystal clear that her interests lay in Lonefire, not Amber, and yet here the two were, fighting over her if she were not mistaken. Most she-cats would find it flattering to have two such handsome toms fighting over them, it was true, but Destiny would not be categorized as 'most'. She did not enjoy being fought over as a good piece of prey might be.
As the toms shot comments back and forth, the small she-cat between them became increasingly uncomfortable. Her fur bristled slightly, her tail flicked anxiously, and a growing sense of foreboding rose within her. She knew then that something had to be done, and that she had to be the one to do it. Various courses of action ravaged her mind, ranging for slipping quietly off to pinning of them to the ground to prove her point. Yet while she was fully capable of both, she was willing to execute neither. She would not leave without giving Lonefire some sort of warning, and she did not want to get out her reputation as one who would attack at slightest notice. Not that that was necessarily untrue, it just was not something that needed to be public knowledge.
Several minutes later she had still done nothing. None of her ideas completely pleased her, each was flawed in one way or another. Then suddenly, things changed. It was not just her perspective on things, though by definition that could be it, but in a different way then may originally be thought. Instead of laying in the middle of the small clearing, her line of vision seemed to be from above, as though she had somehow grown wings and learned to fly. Below her she saw the two toms she had previously been between facing off, both looking equally ready to fight. Off to the side she saw a figure she recognized as herself, standing there, doing nothing as she had been just moments before.
The scene lasted for half a second, and before she knew it she was back down on the ground. It took her moment to collect herself and come to some sort of understanding of what had just happened. She had obviously had some sort of vision, a possible outcome for the current situation. But did it have to happen? If she chose to act, could she change what she saw? She could not chance it. The only sure way to prevent it was to bring herself out of the picture.
Without hardly thinking about her, she lifted to her paws. She had quickly fallen for Lonefire - no use denying it - and while she was indeed not so fond of Amber the prospect of him dying over her was not pleasing. Determined not to show her dislike for what she was going to do, she hardened her gaze and stood squarely between the toms. There was no turning back now. Her sapphire eyes burned with frustration, the one emotion she could reflect truly in them, she began to speak. "Look you two mousebrains, if you think you can have a competition amongst yourselves with me as the prize for the winner, you are sadly mistaken. I, nor any other she-cat you may fancy, am not a thing to won or possessed! And since you obviously cannot understand that, I think I'll just have to leave." Her words were pronounced with deathly perfection and each held an icy edge. She was not kidding here. For just a moment she allowed her gaze to soften and rest on the ebony tom. In the dark of the night she could not see his expression and was unsure whether he could see hers, but if he could he would see her begging for forgiveness. She would not apologize for her words, never, but she wanted him to know that she was not completely banishing him from her life. But then her face once more hardened and she turned towards the forest, pausing to glance over her shoulder and throw out a few more words. "And please, " she mewed, "do not follow me. Perhaps we will meet again someday, but for now you have both reminded me of why I call myself a loner." with that said she was gone, off in a blur of moon-colored fur. She had done it. She had carried out her plan and hopefully prevented a fight. Now if only her heart did not feel so heavy, in only she knew for that she had made the right choice.
-----following my heart no matter the consequences----- .x. I am so sorry for taking so long to post, it's been very difficult for me to find time for roleplaying. I'll try to do better. Anyway, we can make a new thread for Lonefire and Destiny now Ember. Would you like to make it or shall I? .x.
