Two kits out alone....[This oughta be good]

Eaglekit led the way into the plains with Redkit following behind. He saw a baby rabbit and signaled to Redkit to follow him. They were right behind the baby rabbit and yowled to Redkit, who was next to him, "NOW!" as Eaglekit jumped on the baby rabbit!

[Smokey]

Redkit

The plains are nice... the kit thought, as the wind ruffled his fur. 'Now!' his brother had shouted. Instinctively, he unsheathed his tiny claws, and pounced on the flailing, young rabbit. He sunk them into it's back, and bit down on the back of it's brown, coarse pelt. Redkit muttered through the fur of their prey, "Give it the death-bite to the neck!" How...how did I know that?! he wondered, astonished that he knew such a thing at one moon.

Eaglekit was amazed that his brother Redkit knew that he should give prey a death-bite to the neck. He was so amazed that he was thrown off of the rabbit by his brother trying to bite the rabbit's neck. He saw Redkit bite the rabbit and the rabbit slowly stopped moving. "Ummm.... Redkit? How did you know to do that?" Eaglekit asked timidly.

[Smokey]

"I-I don't know!" Redkit wailed. "But at least we caught some prey." There was a hint of mischievousness in his almond colored eyes. "Shall we eat, Eaglekit?" he asked. ...we haven't had fresh-kill before! his mind squealed.

[blazefire]

"Well, yeah we should! I mean, if we took it back to camp, we would get in trouble, and I'm starving! But later, we'll catch a piece of prey, bring it secretly back to camp, give it to sleetpad, and say that it's from the fresh kill pile!" Eaglekit said as he took a bite of the baby rabbit.

[Smokey]

"True true," Redkit muttered, then bent down to munch at the fresh-killed rabbit. "This...is delicious!" he sqeaked, after he had filled himself with it. "Now what? Run to loose all this fat?" he joked, giggling. "But I really wanna go on a run!" Redkit's legs were built for speed, and was sure he could zip around at the speed of light.

"Sure," Eaglekit said. "When i say go, run! Ready.... Set....." and then he took off with a head start on Redkit laughing. "Hurry up SLOWkit," he yowled.

[Smokey]

"Hey!" Redkit yowled, and began to turn ground. He easily sped past Eaglekit. "Who's Slowkit now?!" he taunted, happy to feel the wind, making his pelt ruffle.

[blazefire]

"Wow, you're fast," Eaglekit said, amazed. "But not as fast as me!" Eaglekit yowled. She raced up to Redkit and said, "Remember, we've got to be careful to stay away from an Earthclan patrol.

[Smokey]

"Pfft. Yeah yeah," Redkit muttered. Then he saw his brother race ahead of him. The tiger coated tom slowed down. "Yes, patrols..." he mewed. He scented the air. "Eaglekit!" He squeaked and sped toward him, long limbs gliding across the plains. "There's a single cat! We gotta hide!" He meowed and went into an abandoned rabbit den.

Eaglekit gasped. He dove into the rabbit hole along with Redkit. He heard voices above him and said to Redkit, "After this, we'll just run home. Or should we catch a rabbit for Mama?" he suggested.

[Smokey]

"No, we will not catch a rabbit for Sleetpads!" Redkit scolded his brother. He scented the air again. Stale rabbit scent, and... Pantherstrike! "Eaglekit," he whispered. "It's Pantherstrike. He has a keen nose!" Sighing, he sat and awaited what would come.

[blazefire]

"Well, we just caught a rabbit, and we're in a rabbit hole, so maybe...." Eaglekit said.

[Smokey]

"Good point, but still," Redkit mewed.

Pantherstrike had went out alone, just to get some fresh air. "Hm..." he muttered. The large, black tom was walking where they had killed the rabbit. "Yech, crow-food!" he yowled. "Wait..it's freshly killed," he corrected himself. The mini panther sniffed it. "It smells of...kits? What are kits doing out here?!" He wondered, and took on the scent trail.

Eaglekit heard him and said, "Mouse-dung! Stay still and quiet."
