Citruspelt padded lightly behind the small kit, and gingerly sat down, making himself comfortable. "Hello, Oceanstar. Young Icekit has a request for you." He bowed his head, nimbly, and waited for his leader or Icekit to reply.

Icekit nodded. "I wish to have permission to leave Frostclan territory at any time with a Warrior by my side." Icekit said. He had a slight bit of nervousness in his voice. His blue and red eye shimmered in the light of the den.

The silver leader looked up as the small form of Icekit entered her den, followed by Citruspelt. "A request?" she said at Citruspelt's words. When Icekit spoke, she studied him thoughtfully. "Is there a reason, for this request?" she meowed curiously. It was an odd request for a kit. Normally, they'd sneak out if they had desire. At least he's showing respect to me, and the warrior code... she thought as she awaited his answer.

"Actually, ive always been the adventurous type, my mom tells me, and I have just always wanted to stray out into the open, and go to places ive never seen before, ya know?" Icekit replied, smiling. He started to sound very excited at the last part. He had always admired how well the leader reacted to things, although this was the first time he had actually seen her. All the other times he saw her she was talking to another clan member or during a gathering, and Icekit had only been to one gathering. His tail was twitching with excitement right about now. All of the nervousness went away, and he felt like he was a mouse looking at a new type of cheese.

Nodding, Citruspelt finally spoke, "Yes, he is pretty adventurous. I've watched him run around before when I was visiting my daughter." He was glad that the little kit had finally gotten the courage to come in the leader's den. The dappled tom felt proud of himself, and Icekit. He had helped him gain the courage. The tom stretched, yawned, and sat down once more.

Oceanstar nodded slowly, contemplating whether she should accept this kits request. This is a time I'd go to Muddypelt, ask his opinion...oh Muddypelt, what would you say? she called inside her head. His voice echoed throughout her head, and his expression. A mud covered tom, thinking slowly, then saying, 'Why not? if he abuses this ability, you can always take it away.' That was what he would say, Oceanstar was almost positive. With a quick nod and a slight grin, she replied. "Yes. You may leave camp with a warrior at your side. But, if this becomes a problem, i will take this privileged away." she meowed with a grin.

Icekit looked into the leaders eyes thankfully. "Thak you!" Icekit mewed. He was about ready to cry from excitement. He dashed out the door happily, hoping to see Citruspelt following behind.

Citruspelt watched the kit run out of the den, then looked back to his leader. "Thank-you, Oceanstar." He was going to ask her something. "When Icekit gets apprenticed, can I be his mentor? I know it's a while from now, nor is it my decision." He poked his head out of the den for a moment, then meowed "Icekit, I'll be there in a second." Returning his attention to Oceanstar, he said, "So what do you think?"

Oceanstar grinned as Icekit bounded out. She had a huge soft spot for them. She figured, if she'd never become deputy, she'd have had kits of her own. But I'm a leader...the warrior code says I can't have kits... she thought with a silent sigh. Citruspelt's question brought her back to reality though, and and she absentmindedly nodded. "Yeah...sure..." she murmured, eyes distant as a thought came to her. My secret meetings with Muddypelt...might as well be having kits, eh? Same thing...major warrior code break... she thought.

Citruspelt saw that Oceanstar was in a daze before she had answered his question. "Thank-you, Oceanstar," the dappled brown tom meowed to his leader. I wonder what's getting to her, he thought silently to himself. He tried not to worry as he padded out of the den.
