His purple eyes were bright with excitement and determination. Brackenclaw had taught him everything he knew already, and now this was the final test. I disagreeessment...I'll be the best warrior ever. Nothing will stop me! Firepaw looked behind him, where Brackenclaw was catching up after telling him about his assessment.

Brackenclaw appreared next to Firepaw.
"For your assessement you will be hunting for all you can catch, then I will fight you. No claw and tooth hold will be light. You have from now until some after sunhigh to finish hunting. Meet me here. I'll be wtching you." at the last words, Brackenclaw ran and jumped in a tree. "go!" |

Not waiting for even a second, he dashed away into the bushes, mouth open and tasting the air. The scent of mouse filled his mouth, and he quickly fell into a hunting crouch, purple eyes narrowing in, whiskers twitching as he followed followed the track.

Eyes darting, he spotted the prey sitting near the base of a tree. He was only a few tail lengths away, so he took a chance and sprang. Firepaw extended his paws in front of him, claws glinting. The tom landed square on the mouse, killing it instantly. Acting fast, he picked it up and buried it in the soil.
