Stormpaw's training

"Im fine Stormy..." Lightningtail flinched. He had hit his head on the way down, and to make it worse he broke a leg.getting dark anyways..." Lightningtail flinched again, trying to get up. He slowly tried to walk into the forest, and he was limping.

[Smokey]

"Lightningtail!" Stormpaw exclaimed. He noticed his mentor was limping. "Sit down! You're limping!" He jumped in front of his mentor. "I will get Bluemoon. Stay here. And do not move!"
Stormpaw said to his mentor. He didn't want to loose him. Lightningtail was more than his mentor-he was his best friend. Loosing him would crush the young tom's life. Quickly, he scampered off to find Bluemoon.

Lightningtail sat there as he waited for his apprentice to come back.

[Smokey]

Stormpaw rushed back through the forest, running into briars and what not. He would surely collapse, from running so much, without stopping. His body stung. "I must make it back to him," Stormpaw said confidently to himself. He saw the body of his mentor, sitting where he had left him. Stompaw didn't see the fallen log in front of him. He tripped over it and lay still. "Lightningtail...I have failed..." he whispered, longing for it to be loud enough for his mentor to hear. Stormpaw closed his eyes and his breathing went very shallow.

Lightningtail's earsperked up. He heard something. He got up and limped towards the noise, just to come across Stormy's body. He was either unconcous or worse...

Dead.

Lightningtail layed by his side and let out a long at sad yowl. "Smokepaw... no..." Lightningtail said softly. He laid his head down and closed his eyes. No matter what, even if he had to live in the forest...

He wouldnt leave Stormpaw.

[Smokey]

Stormpaw was in the paws of StarClan now. Only they and Bluemoon could save him from leaving. But this tom was strong. He would pull through.

Lightningtail stood up. He carefully put Stormpaw on his back and ran to camp.

` feathersong - moonclan -

A silver she-cat was hunting when Lightningtail burst through the bushes. Feathersong's head flew up, as she turned around. ' Lightningtail! Slow down! ' Feathersong meowed, running after him. After two seconds she was infront of him, and was standing in his way. Before she hadn't noticed how badly hurt he was. ' Slow down. If you're really hurt, you'll know what's best for you. I saw your apprentice get Bluemoon, so just wait. ' Feathersong meowed, trying to get some sense into this tom. It had started to drizzle, just a light rain, so Feathersong looked around for a place to stay. There was a hollowed out bush just a few mousetails away, just like the one back at camp. ' Go into there ' She meowed, pointing with her tail. ' I'll keep watch for Bluemoon, I enjoy rain. '

After an hour or so past, he began to awake from the black-out. He heard a voice, that he doesn't hear often. "Lightningtail?" he said, because he scented his mentor. "W-who is that with you? Is it Bluemoon?" Stormpaw asked, as his eyes were still closed, while his breathing was still shallow. Before his mentor had any time to answer, the apprentice was swallowed up into blackness once more.

Ligtningtail nodded. He couldnt really decline an offer from a female cat, and especially one he liked. He squeezed into the bush with Stormpaw and curled up. He stared at Stormpaw as if he were a sick family member. "Come on Stormy... I believe in you..." Lightningtail whispered.

[Smokey]

Another 30 minutes went by, and this time, Stormpaw awoke. Looking around, he flinched. "Where am I?!" He screeched. He tried to stand up and run away, but he couldn't. His energy was gone. His mentor's scent was overwhelming him, so he knew he was near. "Lightningtail? Answer me, before I knock-out again." Talking was even tiring. He guessed he should shut his mouth, before he collapsed back into a world of blackness.

"Its fine. Im right here, and we are inside of a hollow bush." Lightningtail answered. "Feathersong is outside watching for Bluemoon. Its raining out, but Feathersong says she likes the rain." Lightningtail continued. He had answered all of the apprentice's questions. He smiled. He knew that Stormpaw would make it.

[Smokey]

"Oh, okay," Stormpaw replied, his voice dull. "I will rest now." Stormpaw got up, and padded a fox-length away. He lie down and close his eyes, trying to kill time and restore some of his energy.

(Work something out with Lightningtail's broken leg. Then you can do something about Stormpaw's loss of energy. :P)
