Fireclaw looked to see Sunheart walking towards the forest. He ran after her, wondering why she would go hunting by herself. This is strange. Why would Sunheart go hunting alone?he asked himself over and over again.
Sunheart stopped when she heard paws running after her. She knew whose paws they belonged to, Why can't Fireclaw go and find Sandtail and worry about her and not me?she murmmered to herself.

Back at the ranch... erm...river, Eagleclaw heard approaching pawsteps from the direction of camp. In an uncharacteristic show of hunting skills he leapt into the spredding boughs of a nearby spruce, perhaps he could start piecing together some of the mysteries surrounding the clan.

Sunheart didn't wait for her brother to catch she just kept walking. She walked all the way to the river and stopped. She sighed, her black and Gold coat bristling. She tryed to smooth it but it just didn't work. She sat next to the river, putting her tail over her paws.
Fireclaw knew that he wasn't going to catch up with Sunheart. So, he just stopped and hunted for a bit. I need to find out what is wrong with Sunheart and Sandtail,he thought to himself. He shook his head and walked back to camp.

The black warrior could no longer distinguish just what was happening so he crept further out on the branch he occupied. It began to sway beneath his paws but Eagleclaw paid little attention to where he placed his feet.
Amber eyes grew wide. A yelp was sounded as the young tom realized that he was plummeting from his perch. A light thump let him know that he had landed on something softer than the ground.

Sunheart heard a yelp and the next thing she knew, was taht something landed on her back and she was laying flat on the ground. "Ow!!!"she yelped. She tryed to get to her paws but whatever was on her wouldn't allow it. So, she wiggled from under it, and got to her paws. Her eyes went wide when she saw who it was. "Eagleclaw? Where did you come from?"she asked firmly.

His shock grew even worse when Eagleclaw realized that whatever he had landed on was moving. He quickly stood, shaking his head in confusion and leaning at a crazy angle as he tried to steady himself. Then came the question. The dark warrior gave his chestfur a quick lick as embarrassment set in before replying. "Well, ummm. I was in a tree a minute ago, and now I guess I'm not." The tom covered his nose with his tail, thoroughly abashed.

Sunheart laughed her angelic laugh. "It's alright. I fall out of trees sometimes."It was funny but it hurt to. She stoped laughing when she got the question in her mind."Are you alright though?"she mewed.

A spark of defiance flushed through the dark warrior, flashing across his amber eyes, but was immediately suppressed. Eagleclaw managed a half smile. "Nothing I'll need to see a medecine cat for. I'll be fine. Are you ok?" A humorous thought crossed his mind. "Sorry 'bout dropping in like that."

"I am fine. I didn't get hurt or anything."she mewed. "It's okay. You don't need to apologize. It was an accident."she meowed. Sunheart walked up to Eagleclaw and flicked his ear with her tail."Would you like to go hunting?"she asked.

"Good," still muddled, Eagleclaw hardly noticed the flick to his ear. "Umm. A quick hunt would be fine."

Sunheart smiled and ran up to the forest edge. She turned around to see if Eagleclaw was following. "Come on. The rabbits aren't going to wait for you."she mewed.

Rabbits, alright, something he could chase rather than creep at. Eagleclaw bounded up and ahead, not wasting breath on words but just enjoying the sensation of wind and grass and open sky.

Sunheart didn't even get a chance to run first, cause the next thing she need Eagleclaw was a head of her. She turned and ran after him,"Wait up!!"she yelled. She smelled the air and caugth the scent of a squirrel. She stopped and went after the squirrel. Sunheart spotted the animal just a few tail lengths away. Steady, steady,she thought to herself.She pounced and bit the animal not allowing to make any noise, Sunheart's eyes shining with gladness.

Eagleclaw ran a few more fox lengths before he realized Sunheart wasn't coming. Bewildered, the young cat retraced his steps going back over his own trail until he found her, squirrel in jaws, looking very proud of herself. "Good catch, Sunheart," he congratulated her.

Sunheart jumped by the voice that came from behind her. She turned around,"Oh, thanks."she mewed, trying to hide her surprise. "Now, it's your turn."she meowed. She went to go and hide her squirrel to come and get later, and she walked back to where Eagleclaw was at.
