Her mother was different. And suddenly, Sunberry wanted her old mother back. And she believed this battle wasn't right. She needed to tell her mother that. Because of how her mother acted lately, Sunberry had kinda avoided her mother. She walked over to Morningstar and sat down. The deputy shot Sparklekit a sharp glance. He couldn't remember the first five moons of his life. Joining the clan as a kit, he still had to wait a moon to become an apprentice, and he remembered the anticipation he had felt. But he never stormed into the leader's den, interrupting meetings. It was no excuse, and this was important. Spiritflare turned his attention to Sunberry. He didn't know her all that well, but she was Morningstar's daughter, so he respected her.
If any cat can talk some sense into Morningstar, it'll be Sunberry, the warrior decided. She's not the type who likes having blood spilled for no good reason. Maybe Morningstar will change her mind. I know MoonClan didn't take Leafkit. He's in the Dark Forest. He must be. Spiritflare nodded towards the gold-furred she-cat. "Very well." With that, he padded out of the den.

Swiftleap sat in the corner of the warrior's den, his ears flat with his tail twitching. Was he the only one that supported this battle? Everyone else was talking about Leafkit being in the Dark Forest. In his opinion, everyone was dummer than a badger! How could a living kit be in a place such as the Dark Forest. Besides, it wasn't just the kit that needed to be taken care of. Moonclan in general had to be taken care of. Dawnstar was an imature kit that needed to be taught that this world wasn't as easy as she made it seem.
He listen to all the cats trying to talk Morningstar out of it, staying respectful at the same time. It made Swiftleap sick. He came out of the shadows, growling with his claws digging into the ground fiereclessly. "Why are all of you so against this?! We should all realize that we need to back up our leader. Ever since Starclan gave her the nine lives, she has been set to make the best decions for this clan! Has she ever let us down before? She knows what is best for this clan, and you all act like she is out of her mind! I'm up for this battle, not some mousebrained idea about Leafkit being in a place of no stars!"
He spoke with boldness and pride. He was usually good at persauding cats once he set his mind to it. He was going to support Morningstar all the way. If she wanted to declare on Starclan, he would too. He believed his leader knew what was right. He knew his leader was right. It was the only logical thing that could be done anyways.

Birdsong poked her head in the den, tail-tip twitching. "Not to intrude- but you have no idea whether or not he is in the place of no stars," she pointed out. "Therefor, my suggestion is not Mousebrained. Besides, I dont think Moonclan took him. What reason would they have? Kits cannot be hurt by other clans, remember? Its against the warrior code. Seems to me a hedgehog is more likely to fly." She glared at Swiftleap. "Though there is still a possibility that they did, I am going to check The place of no stars first." she poked her head back out and headed to her den, fiery with anger. Birdsong certainly wasn't mousebrained, and kept open to all possibilities.

-- s u n b e r r y -- Sunberry felt just a fiery as Birdsong did. ' Swiftleap! ' She snapped so harshly for a second she couldn't believe it was her own voice. ' You have no proof Of MoonClan taking Leafkit, ' She was kinder this time, but her voice was still cold as ice. ' I just don't want a war to start over nothing. So just shut-up you flea-brained fool, no one cares about your opinion. Or at least Me, Spiritflare and Birdsong don't. ' Sunberry wrapped her tail neatly around herself, turning away from Swiftleap and to her mother once more. [/center] |

"So much for keeping an open mind!" Enough was enough. "Are you coming Swiftleap? We may as well leave miss fancy-fur alone. Some cats can be such hypocrites at times."
With a meaningful glance back at Sunberry, Eagleclaw stalked out of the den. It would surprise him if she didn't start a war within the clan about whether or not to start a war with Moonclan!

This cat was always insulted very easily. He held in his toung while the medicine cat talked because...she was the medicine cat. Swiftleap may be stubborn, but he wasn't stupid. He knew he could get in big trouble if he argued with a medicine cat. He heard Sunberry spoke, and that was a whole different story on what he could and could not do.
"You think your so powerful because your Morningstar's daughter! And I'm not a flea-brain fool you peice of foxdung! And there isn't any evidence that they DIDN'T do it either! Sometimes, dreams are just dreams." He snapped, gestering to Tigernose's dream.
He turned to the only cat on his side, and walked out of the den with him. Growling once more at Sunberry before he was out. His fur was on his end, and he felt like clawing her fur into tiny peices. "Call me a flea brain fool. Cats do care about my opinion. More than hers." He growled, muttering harsh word about her to himself.

The way she asked what she wanted felt as it Sunberry wasn't important. ' I may not have authority, ' Sunberry meowed to Swiftleap ' But at least I have a heart. ' She had meowed after him. She didn't care about her mother. Not after what her mother had just done. ' Nothing mother. Just nothing. ' Sunberry meowed as she walked out, passing Swiftleap. She broke into a run into the forest around them, tears blinding her sight. [/center] |

LET ALL CATS OLD ENOUGH TO CATCH THEIR OWN PRAY GATHER HERE UMDER THE HIGH ROCK FOR A CLAN MEETING!
This sunhigh, we gather together to name a new apprentice. From this day forward, untill she has earned her warrior name, this apprentice will be called Sparklepaw. Sunberry, you will train Sparklepaw. I was you mentor, I hope that my skill and wisdom will pass through you to your new apprentice," Morningstar announced. Sunberry needs to learn some responsibility!
