Rainshine sat in the morning sun, basking in it's heat. She opened her eyes for a moment to go and get some fresh-kill when she felt a great pain strike her belly. She opened her mouth to say Mistywater but remembered they had a new medicine cat. ' BLUEMOON!! ' Rainshine yowled as the pain strike again. She was breathing hard, and the pain worsened. StarClan help me . . .

[Rainy]

Redstorm heard the call from across the camp. New kits! He thought with excitment. New kits always brought good welth to the clan. He peered into the nursery, waiting for the new medicine cat to appear with herbs in hand. He sat and waited, helping if he could. He was the deputy after all. In his heart, he knew he wanted to know how to help other cats in need, even if he wasn't the medicine cat.

He remembered when he was a kit in the nursery. He watched another cat have her kits. It make his head dizzy when he was little, all the blood. He didn't like blood, the sight of it anyway. When he was in battle, it didn't bother him that much. It was always afterward when he started to get dizzy. He learned to control his sick stomach weak of it, but every once in a while, hacked up.

He took a deep breath in. I am not going to get dizzy during this exciting moment. He thought proudly. He was confident of himself he could do it. Thats all he needed.

BLUEMOON*OF*MOONCLAN

Bluemoon heard her name being called. It was coming from the nursery, and sounded frantic. Picking up some hearbs, she ran to the nursery. She saw Rainshine.Okay, Rainshine, just breath. And when the next strike of pain comes, try to push. she said calmly. Then it hit her; she had never seen a mother kitting before. Even as an apprentice. But mistywater told me what to do, and she has had loads of experince. She thought to herself. She then bracedher self for what was about to come.

Rainshine breathed deeply, but it didn't help. This feeling . . . It was worse than any wound. And much more painful. She looked up, then winched at more pain. She tried to do as Bluemoon said. Finally she saw a small brown kit with lighter brown flecks.{She-cat} Just like her father . . . Rainshine thought. It had not yet opened it's eyes, and Rainshine guided her kit closely to herself, to warm to kit. But then pain came pouring in like a dam had broken. She yowled in pain and frustration. Why did this have to be so painful? Then she saw a tom and a she-cat, both golden. But the tom had a white tip, an white ears while the she-cat had a white chest and her white tail was white. Even more pain. She closed her eyes, and opened them to see a small gray she-cat that looked just like her. But the pain didn't stop there. FInally, the last kit came. It was black, with dark gray stripes and a dark gray tipped tail. The pain slowly stopped, and Rainshine guided her kit over to her enlarged belly. She licked each over her kits, grooming them well. For a moment Rainshine thought she saw Michio's spirit, but then it was gone a moment later. Rainshine sat there as her kits nursed, and the familiar scent of milk filled her senses.

They are beautiful, Rainshine. Would you like some boarge leaves for your milk or thyme? she meowed. She had helped Rainshine with her birth, and was now able to say that she was experinced with kitting. She was as happy for herself as she was for Rainshine. She then felt a pang of anxity. She would never be able to have kits...

Rainshine liked her golden she-cat once more. ' I'm okay for pain, but borage leaves sounds great. ' Rainshine meowed happily as Stormkit stumbled into Bluemoon's paws. Rainshine purred at that, because she thought it was cute.

Hello, little one. You should get back to your Mum. You must be hungry! Come on.She purred, guiding the kit over. That one is a real cutie. Sunndenly, a vision swept over her. [glow=teal,2,300]Blood covered newly falled snow. Four cats were fighting. One was Dawnstar and she was against a large, brown tom. The other was a black cat with a collor. A kittypet! she thought. Then, she saw the dog teath that were on it. The collored cat was against a cat that looked a lot like Mistywater. She saw herself off to the side, and was yoweling something. Just then, Mistywater was struck down by the small black cat. No! Real Bluemoon yoweled.[/glow] She suddenly 'woke up' and was back in the nursery.
