Bluepaw sat sorting hearbs in the medicine cat den, waiting for Mistywater to return, when she heard someone enter the den. Hello? she meowed.

Redstorm came limping in with a thorn in his paw. "Could you help me out on this?" He asked, wincing at the pain. He looked around, not finding the medicine cat anywhere. All there was, was the new apprentice. He didn't know if she'd learn the right things yet, but he was desperate to get the thorn out of his paw.

Sure! She meowed. Walking to get some chervil, she noticed that the cat mint was getting low. making a mental note, shewent back to her patient. Okay, what paw is it? she asked.

mistywater left the gathering before everyone else and came into her den "redstorm hello?" mistywater said "what brings you to my den" she asked softly " oh got a thorn in you paw I've been seeing that more and more" she said calmly then she disappeared for a few heartbeats then she was back with a mouth full of herbs "here eat these" she said "it will take the pain away, that way i can get that thorn out " mistywater said "you will have to keep off that paw for a few days so it dose not get infected"mistywater said and she pulled out the thorn with out hurting the warrior "well there you go'' mistywater said yawning "if you need anything else wake me" mistywater said getting into her nest that night she had a dream a mist gray cat slunk in the night and a dark brown cat was standing by a tree and that night they disobeyed the code and a few weeks later she had many kits but she had to find a nursing mother but she could not and her meddie cat ship was gone and she had to become a warrior and the father's clan never found out that he had fathered anther clan cats kits when she woke it was morning again what if this dream comes true i will never be able to face my clan again mistywater thought

The dawn warmed the misty fur of the MoonClan leader.Stirring , her eye opened slighty.She peeked out ofthe den. She paddd out stretching her legs and showing off her musclues.She walkd over to the medicne cats den.She saw that MstyWater was upset.

DawnStar! Bluepaw meowed. She was alredy up sorting hearbs when she came in. Can I talk to you?Last night, she was sorting hearbs when Redstorm came in. She was getting hearbs when Mistywater came in and took over. Bluepaw had it handeled, and Mistywater came in and took away her chance. It really hurt Bluepaws feelings wich, from her experiencees, couldn't be healed with hearbs. She thought her mentor thought she was a dumb little kit. I'll show her. she thought bitterly.

Well, last night, I was sorting hearbs when Redstorm came in with a thorn in his paw. I was getting redy to get it out, when Mistywater came in, and took it out with out me! She treats me like a kit sometimes, and I'm not a kit! I'm 7 moons old! She meowed. I know ths may sound immature, but I had it handeled. Sometimes, I think Mistywater doesn't want me as her apprentice.

Maybe she just doesnt think your ready."DawnStar mewed."I have a word with her.Then you need to learn to speak up and say something.Promise me you will speak up."DawnStar stood up getting ready to leave as she dipped her and rested her muzzle on BluePaws shoulder."Promise me that?"she whispered and then left the den, knowing that she made a wise decision to say what she did becuase it was out of her hand to change someone opinion about someone other than her. Bluepaw would have to say something and show MistyWater.

*Nightpaw limped in, her face expressionless. She was favoring her left front paw. She bowed her head towards Dawnstar respectfully. Then, she turned to look at Bluepaw. Her large kittenlike ears, almost flat against her head. She lifted her paw, twisting it inward, to show the pad to Bluepaw. There were several large thorns in the pad of her tiny paw. They were very deep in her flesh.*

misty heard the hole thing from her rock and her eyes started to water maybe nows my chance bluepaw wants to show that she's a good meddie cat and i want to see muddyplet so..mistywater thought "bluepaw you need to learn how to whisper" mistywater said almost crying "when you say mean thing about a cat don't say it so the cat can hear it" mistywater said in a full blown cry "you take this one" mistywater said padding out of the den

Oh No!She Thought. That couldn't be good. Her mentor was mad at her, and now she had to do this by herself. Okay, Hold On a second, Nightpaw.She Meowed, saerching for some chervil and chewing itinto a poltuice. pullingout the thorn, putting some chewed-up chervil on it, and wraping it in a cobweb, she meowed. Okay! Just be gentle on it. I'll have another word with Dawnstar about the thorns in the area, and tell warriors to eep an eye out for them. Now, If you'll excuse me, I have to find MistyWater. She said. Walking out of the den, she started to search for MistyWater.

*Nightpaw nodded, and hobbled out of the den on three paws.* Bluepaw? *She began, her voice sounded like it belonged to a kit much younger than she was. Altogether, an outsider would believe that Nightpaw was just a very large kit. She looked down, unsure of whether to continue or not. She took a deep breath, and continued quietly.* Do - do you think I should ask Dawnstar for a mentor? My brothers already have mentors, but it seems that I have been forgotten.... *Nightpaw looked up, her yellow-green eyes meeting Bluepaw's eyes.*
