Ivykit yawned and opened her eyes as a speck of snow landed on her nose. Ivykit stood up, and shook her pelt. Moss flew off her pelt, and Ivykit was soon drawn to go outside. SNow covered the whole camp. SNOW!!!! Ivykit thought and bound outside. The cold snow didn't bother her, and Ivykit went right into Morningstar's den. ' Morningstar! Morningstar! Wake up! It's snowing! ' Ivykit meowed, pushed on Morningstar's side.

"Ehhh... WHAT?!?! Can't you see that I'm sleepin'!?!?! Ahhhhuuuggg!" Morningstar snapped, she is usually frustrated them she is awoken, and she is very tired in the morning!

Ivykit sunk back. ' S-S-Sorry Morningstar . . . ' Iykit meowed. ' I-I-It's just that it's snowing . . . ' Ivykit meowed. Ivykit turned around to leave, her tail and ears drooped. Ivykit's tail dragged in the dust as she left.

Whiteflame padded up to Ivykit. "What are you doing out here in the cold?!?! You should be in the nursery!" Whiteflame grabbed Ivykit by the scruff, and dragged the kit to the warmth and safety of the nursery.

Ivykit let out a surprised yelp and tried to claw Whiteflame. ' I'm almot an apprentice you useless furball! I know how to walk! ' Ivykit hissed crossly. When Whiteflame put her down, Ivykit lunged herself at Whiteflame. But she landed into the snow beside him, hissing and spitting venom at him. ' You idiot! I'm not bby anymore, I can take care of myself! ' Ivykit spat at him. Anger overflowing her, Ivykit lunged again, her claws only she grazing Whiteflame's paw. Ivykit glared at the tom, rage flaring up in her eyes. 'Never do that again flea-brain. ' Ivykit hissed, then turned around.

Ivykit's eyes clouded, a tear rolling down her cheek. ' My mother is dead flea-brain. ' Ivykit meowed, turning her back on the warrior. SHe padded to the far coner, and curled up to go to sleep.

Well how would I know![/i] "SILVERPOOL? Silverpool, I think we have a problem, Ivykit doesent have a mother, and there are no other queens in the nurciry! Will.... u.... perhaps......."

Silverpool emerged gracefully out of the warriors den, heading towards her mate and the nursery. "What do you want?" she asked, not unkindly. She had heard Whiteflame yowling at poor Ivykit, and was a tad irritable with her mate's insensitivity. Ivykit seemed fine to her, a little sullen perhaps, but she was almost an apprentice, and she should start learning the responsibility that comes with it. I'm sure Ivykit will be fine, but I'll make sure she doesn't leave the nursery. Perhaps she could go to the elder's den?[/b] she offered, I need to hunt or I won't get any fresh-kill from the pile today! she finished, aware that she had been asleep most of the day, saving her strength for when it wasn't as cold.[/size]

Ivykit turned around at the she-cat. Ivykit got up and walked towards them. ' You don't need to do that. I'm turning six moons tomorrow. Just ask Morningstar to mae me an apprentice. '

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own pray join here under the high rock for a clan meeting" Morningstar called. "Today we will be naming a new apprentice, Ivykit. This sunhigh, we gather together to name a new apprentice. From this day forward, untill she has earned her warrior name, this apprentice will be called Ivypaw. Silverpool, you will train Ivypaw. I hope that your skill and wisdom will pass through you to your new apprentice," Morningstar announced.

Silverpool jumped up, trying not to look startled. This was her first apprentice, and she wanted to get it right. Morningstar hadn't told her ahead of time that she was going to have an apprentice (*cough*), so she didn't quite know what to say. "You can count on me, Morningstar!" she said hurriedly, rushing forward to meet her new apprentice, Ivypaw. She met the young cat, indicating that the newly named apprentice was to touch noses with her.

[/color],felt so happy. She touched her mentor's muzzel, and almost started bouncing around. ' Sooooooooooo . . . . . . Silverpool, can we hunt! No, I wanna fight! No . . . .I wanna play fight!! ' a butterfly fluttered and Ivypaw chased after it. She jumped, claws outstretched, and caught. She looked sadly into her paws at the dead butterfly. [/size][/center]

Silverpool chuckled softly to herself, her deep blue eyes aglow. She had been an apprentice only a few moons ago, and already she's gotten the most energetic kit in the nursery to train! She knew that it would be expected of her to mess up, but all the same she really should go talk to the senior warriors for advice... "Let's explore the territory first - you need to see all of the borders before anything else,[/color] she meowed, and a good bit of exercise might do you good! she thought to herself, rolling her eyes. [/size]
