The sun shone high above EarthClan's camp as a dark tortoiseshell figure slid out and into the open moors of their territory. She bounded in the direction of the rocky area, not to far from camp. Amber eyes glinted in the afternoon sunlight, reflecting more then the typical responsibility you might find in most warriors. They shone with a determined light, desperate to prove she was more then the grumpy queen that had come to EathClan and eaten their prey. It was time for her to prove that she could catch as much prey as any other warrior in EarthClan. She slowed to a jog, and leaped onto a large rock near the edge of the cliff, and sat down with her black and brown tail draped over her paws to wait for her eager apprentice. It was her first time training Bramblepaw, and she wanted to make it count.

Bramblepaw padded slowly into the rocky area. "Hello..." she yawned. Sure, it was the afternoon, but she had been bored all day and was tired.

Ashfire looked up as Bramblepaw padded over. "Good, you're here. Now, Bramblepaw, we're going to work on some fighting today. Now, what do you know about fighting, if anything?" she asked, gracefully sliding off the rock. While everyone else trained their apprentices in hunting, Ashfire had decided to start Bramblepaw with fighting. From the moment she'd set eyes on the tabby she-cat, Ashfire had thought she'd make good fighting material. And so, her curiosity got the better of her, and she decided to see what the lively apprentice could do. hunting can wait for another day she thought, and waited for Bramblepaw's reply.

Bramblepaw yawned and shook herself, trying to wake herself up. Now, blue eyes open and brown tabby ears perked up, she sat down. "Well... I know some moves that I saw Skytide practicing back at camp. I saw him practicing this really awesome move and taught myself to use it." she mewed. "I also know how to use stuff around me to help in a fight." she added, turning to lick her tail.

Ashfire nodded as she listened to Bramblepaw explained what she knew about fighting. Her large ears pricked slightly when the tabby apprentice mentioned knowing one of Skytide's moves. Since he was blind, his moves tended to be a bit different, and sometimes a good bit harder. "Could you show me this move of Skytide's?" she asked curiously, the tip of her tail flicking back and forth as she waited, amber eyes alert and ready to judge how well Bramblepaw could do this move she spoke of.

Bramblepaw nodded and began to look around for a tree. As soon as she spotted one wedged between two rocks she dashed over and jumped up. She wrapped her tail around the branch and hung on, hanging from it by only her tail. She swung back and forth, aiming for whatever she could. She launched herself at a rock and landed on it, claws unsheathed as if she were fighting an unsuspecting cat.

The tortoiseshell she-cat watching in wonder as Bramblepaw hung from a branch like a possum, then launched herself into the air, landing directly on a large rock like she was attacking an enemy. "Nice job Bramblepaw! That's a pretty hard move, and you did it perfectly!" Ashfire said, and it was the truth. It was a move Ashfire had only seen a couple times herself, and only those with strong tails could really do it without their tail breaking. "Now, to start off this lesson, try and attack me in any way." Ashfire instructed, eyes carefully examining Bramblepaw to try and predict her attack.

Bramblepaw nodded, assuming that her mentor was going to guess her next move. She tilted to her right slightly, as if she were getting ready to dash that way. Instead, she dashed to the left and circled her mentor, kicking up dirt and dust an she did. She stood outside the wall of dust when she was behind her mentor and pounced inside, attempting to land on her mentor's back and startle her. She had seen Skytide practicing this, also, and hopefully she had done it right.
