Sleetpads' Kits Apprentice Ceremony

Fieryheart: Deputy of EarthClan


Fieryheart waited patiently for Twistkit to come to her. She smiled at the young tom and turned back to the Clan. "Twistkit, you are now 6 moons old and you are ready to be an Apprentice." Fieryheart looked around for Skytide. When she spotted the tom, she dipped her head. "Skytide, you will be Twistkit's mentor. You have been in this Clan awhile now and you deserve to have an Apprentice." She flicked her tail happily. "I hope you train Twistkit wisely, his fate depends on it." Fieryheart said the last part seriously but it was true. The she-cat stepped back and leapt back onto the Highrock. She decided the next kit to be called should be Bramblekit.

Skytide nodded. He looked over and faced Twistkit. He touched noses with the young apprentice and smiled. "Looks like your known as TwistPAW now." he said, happy for the new apprentice.

(just to lat y'all know, Sleetpads had 13 kits I think. Why are only four getting apprenticed? At least 12 or 11 should be getting apprenticed by now. I think.)

((Yeah, we know. We have 4 kits that don't currently have RPers, they're up for adoption, Dappledkit can't be apprentied until there's a meddie cat to mentor her, Pantherkit was already apprenticed, and we only have mentors for four others, so yeah xD))

Softkit sat and daintily lay her tail across her paws, trying to look grown-up and proper. "Oh yay! Twistkit's an apprentice now! How grand!" she mewed with a crazy little grin.

Ashfire slid into camp a little late, and heard Twistkit's ceremony as she dropped her prey onto the fresh-kill pile. It's good to be out of the nursery, learning more about the clans ways and getting to know the warriors. she thought with a grin as she padded over to the other cats.

"Why couldnt I be made an apprentice first!? I actually know how to ast like a REAL apprentice instead of a kit!" Bramblekit hissed. Just as she always dit, she was trying to sound better then everybody else. Suddenly she felt a strong force hit the back of her head. She turned and saw that Stonefeather had got up and came over just to scold her. "NEVER talk when the ldeputy is speaking." he meowed, acting as if he was the deputy himself. He padded back over to Whirlclaw. Bramblekit pouted, aggrevated that she wasnt first.

Darkstorm

The pretty young warior nodded her head in response. Yeah, I'm ok. You'll be a great mentor. I'm sure that one of them will be your apprentice. Then we could do some training together. I'm sure our apprentices woulnd't mind that. Not that they have a choice... The last part she added with a mischeivious smile.

Then, she looked down at her paws, feeling herself get very very warm as she thought about Redpaw's question. She felt so stupid. Her apprentice had realized it before she had. Luckily, her black and ginger fur hid the deep red blush, but unfortunately, not her embarassed expression.

Then, she looked up, and fixed her gaze on Fieryheart so that Firelight would not see the embarassed look on her face. She took a deep breath as she felt her fur tingle. She was excited for Firelight, and she was starting to feel the guilt of her getting an apprentice and not Firelight was starting to subside, finally.

Fieryheart: Deputy of EarthClan


Fieryheart stood proud on the Highrock. Her ears pricked when she heard the sound of a kit complaining. Bramblekit.. the she-cat thought. And what she thought, she was right. Fieryheart looked at the kit to see that it was pouting because Stonefeather had given her a paw to the head. "Now," she started. "Bramblekit, please come up here." she looked at the kit, who was mad that she was silenced. Fieryheart jumped off the Highrock and, secretly, threw a smile towards Pantherstrike. She really really needed to talk to him but she could wait until the other kits were apprenticed. Fieryheart also had to talk about her soon going to Moonstone to recieve her 9 lives.


Whirlclaw: Queen of EarthClan


The she-cat snorted at the kits impatience and hoped that her kits wouldn't be like that when they would get Apprenticed. Whirlclaw smiled proudly at her lovely mate and layed down next to him. She curled into a ball and purred very quietly as the breathing of Stonefeather comforted her a bit.

Twistkit

Trembling with excitement, he stretched his neck upwards to touch with his mentor's. His new mentor's. A shudder of joy passed through his small fluffy brown body. I'm finally an apprentice! I'm finally on the path of a warrior! Twistpaw lashed the air with his striped tail, needing some way to vent his euphoria. His ears twitched slightly when he heard his littermate's comment, but he waved it away dismissively. He wasn't going to let anything ruin the moment. His moment.

Though it was strange that Fieryheart seemed to have forgotten to give him his actual name, the message was clear enough. Twistpaw beamed at Skytide, yellow-green eyes glowing with exultation.

Pantherstrike

Pantherstrike had not looked away from the stare he was giving Fieryheart. He was not letting it go until this ceremony for these kits was over. Now he noticed that the she-cat threw a smile at him. The tom barely noticed it. Or was it at me? And why does she keep giving me weird looks... he wondered, shuffling his paws. He wished the meeting would hurry up so he could stretch his long limbs and get the tingling sensation out of his paws which we asleep. It was also because he was needed and was just getting impatient. Two more kits left, he mummbled to himself.

Bramblekit gave her chest one last lick and padded up to Fieryheart. "Whos my mentor going to be?" She asked curiously. She would never learn not to speak when the leader was speaking, but it was possible, that with a good mentor, SOMETHING could happen.

Dappledkit

Dappledkit watched her den mate, Twistkit, walk up and took on a mentor. She was ready to burst the loudest her four sibling's names. Dappledkit was usually very quiet, but when it came to cheering on her clanmates, she would be so loud that Sunclan could hear her.

A giggle ran through her as Bramblekit kept speaking out of turn. She seemed to never learn, and it amused Dappledkit greatly. She heard all the other cats talking around her, easdropping on their conversations.

Fieryheart quickly glanced at Pantherstrike, and how he barely noticed her smile made her kinda disappointed. She pushed that aside and placed her attention onto the disodeying Bramblekit. The she-cat cleared her throat at the kit and frowned, she ignored the interruption. Bramblekit would hopefully learn not to talk when a leader is talking, or when any Warrior is talking. "Bramblekit, I believe that you are ready to get your mentor." Fieryheart looked at the she-cat and then back to the cats in the crowd. "Ashfire," she said, spotting the cat. "Please come up here. Fieryheart called.


Whirlclaw: Queen of EarthClan


Whirlclaw heard the young cat talk again and that made her alittle disappointed. Can a kit learn not to talk when the leader is talking? Probabley not, but when Bramblekit got Ashfire of a mentor she would learn. Ashfire would teach the kit to not talk when the leader is talking. Hopefully Bramblekit would learn. Whirlclaw purred beside Stonefeather and licked the tom's side.

Sparrowwind

Sparrowwind padded into the clearing when he heard Fieryheart's call. He hoped he would be able to mentor one of the kits. He always wanted an apprentice, and now was his chance.

Flarekit

The tri-colored tomcat watched as Twistkit became Twistpaw, and now Bramblekit became Bramblepaw. He was hiding in the nursery, his eyes wide as he trembled. Not from jealousy as one would think, but from fear. He wasn't even becomming an apprentice yet, and just watching his siblings become apprentices was making him terrified. He knew that it wouldn't be long before he too joined their ranks. Then he would have to face a mentor by himself.

No Moonkit to comfort him. She would get her own mentor. Unless they decided that since she was deaf, she was unfit to train with the other apprentices. In that case, she could have his mentor. Just like every other cat in the clan, she had dreams. He hadn't asked her what they were yet, since he never really talked to her. Just her presence comforted him. Perhaps it was because she didn't fit in with the clan either. He was terrified of all of them, and she was made fun of because of something she was born with... something she couldn't change, no matter how hard she tried.

Flarekit took a deep breath, but he was trembling so much that he was having trouble breathing properly. Soon, his breath was coming in short, quick gasps as he hoped that his name would not be the next one called to become an apprentice. His lips twitched as he spoke in a whisper between gasps for breath. Please Starclan, let there only be enough mentors for my siblings, only enough for the other kits. Please Starclan, don't make me suffer this way. Please Starclan. Please.

Ashfire nodded with a grin and stepped forward to meet her apprentice. Lively one, that's for sure. Has always been a bit stubborn, but is eager to learn. she thought, remembering Bramblekit from when she was in the nursery.
