A twinkle in his blue eyes notified the others that he was happy, as he spoke again to the new apprentice; 'I am sure it will prove more rewarding to know you, Poolpaw.' The silvery cat stood in place next to his starry friend, their pelts looking as if they were a grey night sky. The cat gazed down at the young cat, his once blind eyes comparing the cat to himself. He is so willing, so eager. I'm glad he realizes what is ahead of him. the life of a medicine cat is perfect for this young one.

Bluemoon smiled. It's best we get going. It'll be sunrise soon. Thank you, Jayfeather and Silverstream. Bluemoon purred.

Alright, Bluemoon. The medicine cat apprentice turned and dipped her head to the starry cats. It was a pleasure meeting you both. I will see you in the future. And with that, she woke up with a yawn, nose still on the stone. She turned her head to see Bluemoon waking up. Silently, she backed away from the stone used to contact deceased cats. Now she waited for her mentor to get up.

Bluemoon opened her eyes. She saw her apprentice getting up and began stretching her back. She Gave her apprentice a nod, and led the way out of the dark cavern.

Poolpaw saw her mentor's eyes open and give her a nod. Then she got up and started back the way they came. Gingerly, she followed, only to look back at the slowly fading stone once.

Bluemoon emerged from the blackness of the cave into the brisk night. There was a hint of frost on the ground, and it was cold for greenleaf. The twinkling stars in the sky reminded her that her ancestors were watching. She saw her new apprentice emerge along with her and raminded her Remember, you mustn't speak of what happened tonight to anyone. It is a secret shared between you, me and StarClan. Understand? She waited for her apprentice to respond. She wasn't usually this serious, but when it came to medicine cat traditions, she was. She pereferd to be happy, and have an open outlook on life. But this was an entirely different matter.

Poolpaw followed out after her mentor through the dark entrance. Frost was biting at her white paws. It was annoying her because it was warmer in the cave. Wind blew, making her silver fur ruffle. Poolpaw listened to her mentor speak and nodded her head. It seemed easy now, but how could she hold in such a wonderful experience. She would have to learn how to or else she would lose her ranking as Bluemoon's apprentice.

Are you ready to go back to camp? It's almost dawn... Bluemoon noted, glancing at the sky. The sun's first rays were brgining to peek through the dark cover of night.

Poolpaw looked up at the sky when Bluemoon said it was almost dawn. Indeed, she replied with a yawn. Lead the way.
