Pantherstrike of EarthClan

Pantherstrike was leading a hunting patrol even though the deputy of his clan was in the party. He had brough his new apprentice, Foxpaw, for some training, too. Come on slow pokes! he teased. Foxpaw, come here and tell me what you can scent.

Fieryheart: Deputy of EarthClan

Fieryheart was inspecting the Camp when she saw Pantherstrike. He was a rather handsome cat to her and she quite liked him. "Hello,Pantherstrike."she purred. "Foxpaw,hello to you too." Fieryheart nodded a nice nod and she sat down,her tail curling delicatley around her front side. "Soo,what are you two cats thinking about doing?" she asked,not trying to be nosey at all. Fieryheart looked at Pantherstrike for awhile then to Foxpaw. She looked back at Pantherstrike,gazing into his eyes. But she made it clear she wasn't gazing.

Foxpaw

The dark ginger tom padded after his mentor, orange eyes glinting. He sniffed the air once, and immediately differentiated the scent of a mouse and thrush. "I believe there's only a mouse and a thrush," he replied, black paws stepping steadily. "And perhaps it's not us who are moving 'slow,' but that you are moving faster," he suggested. Secretly, he distrusted all cats, but it was nearly impossible to tell, with his perfect act of any 'normal' apprentice.

Hi Pantherstrike, the panther-like tom heard. Heya, Fieryheart. he meowed. I'm going over some basics with Foxpaw, even though this is a hunting party. Pantherstrike smiled, then turned his attention to his apprentice, missing the deputy's gaze at him. He scented the air. Correct, Foxpaw! he praised. And yeah...I was moving a bit fast. Alright, lets try and pin point that mouse, he instructed to the fox colored 'paw.

The tom glanced at Fieryheart, dipping his head in a polite manner. His black ears pricked, and soon caught the quiet rustling sound of prey. He turned his head slightly, and tasted the air to confirm it. Foxpaw pointed with his tail. "You'll find it over there. And please stop instructing me as you would with a mere kit," he mewed, voice light. Though he was only 6-moons, he hated being treated like that. He wasn't like most. For one thing, he was a near genius.

"Mind if I join you?Even though," she purred. "Foxpaw is not my apprentice,I would be willing to help." Fieryheart held her chin high and straightened her position. She listened to the apprentices answer and she nodded in agreement. "I have to say,Foxpaw,that is a very great answer." she said looking at Foxpaw. Im not surprised he new. I mean,he has a great mentor. Fieryheart thought to herself,she once again gazed at Pantherstrike. This time a hint slipped out that she was gazing when she purred a delighted sound.

Pantherstrike nodded. Err, yes Foxpaw. You're right. He flicked his tail in annoyance. Okay, Fieryheart. Your presense is welcome. The mini panther smiled, and saw the deputy's warm gaze upon him, along with a delighted purr. All was too familar to him. Sh-she likes me. Pantherstrike sighed. Now...try to catch that mouse.

Foxpaw

Try? Might as well just catch it. The tom stifled a sigh as he fell smoothly into a low crouch, sharp claws sliding out smoothly. Scheming up a plan is more entertaining than this. Eyes alert, his gaze bore into the unsuspecting mouse. Foxpaw crept forward, soot colored paws silent against the grass. His bushy tail hovered above the grass, not making a sound. Finally, in one smooth motion, he pounced, paws clamping down on the prey, claws piercing it and killing it instantly. Wordlessly, Foxpaw picked it up in his jaws and padded back towards Pantherstrike. "How was that?"

Fieryheart growled at Foxpaw slightly as a warning and she looked at him. "Thank you,Pantherstrike." she nodded and stood. Her musceles were falling asleep since she hadn't any excersise since sun-high. Fieryheart stretched her legs delicatly,her tail flicked Pantherstrike's side and she laughed. Fieryheart stopped stretching and she let out a yawn,after the yawn she shook her head. I really do like him.[/b] she thought.

Pantherstrike watched his apprentice proudly. He felt Fieryheart's tail flick his side and she giggled. He let out a small purr. The large tom noted that Foxpaw had killed the mouse and was bringing it back. 'How was that?' he heard. That was great. Eat it if you want. Pantherstrike sighed. I'm going to get that thrush. With that, he ran off in the direction it was at and quickly made himself jump high into the air, snagging the bird off the limb, swiftly killing it with a bite from his teeth.

She sighed at his purr. Fieryheart liked this tom a lot and she wasn't about to betray that. "Yes like Pantherstrike said,that was great." she giggled and watched Pantherstrike catch the thrush. Her eyes widened in amusement and amaze as he caught it from the tree. "Well done!" she praised,flicking her tail from side to side.

If he was surprised by his comment, he didn't show it. But normally apprentices were to bring their catch to camp. Foxpaw watched coolly as Pantherstrike ran towards the thrush. Clearly, Fieryheart is smitten with Pantherstrike. She's only been deputy for a short amount of time and already breaking the warrior code, the tom mused. He hid a devilish smirk. It would be too easy.

The tom looked up at the sky. The sun was sluggishly sliding down the sky. Lets head back. Grabing his piece of prey, he padded back to camp and dropped his thrush on the pile.

Fieryheart followed Pantherstrike's eyes up to the sky. She sighed a disappointed sigh and she traveled back to Camp. Fieryheart walked with Pantherstrike to the fresh-kill pile. "I'll take some kill to the elders.Take some to the queens,would you?" she tried hiding the fact that she liked him infront of Foxpaw. She cleared her throat slightly and picked out a nice mouse for the elders. She grabbed it in her jaws and carried it to the Elders Den,Fieryheart left it for them and she nodded a greeting to all of them. She traveled out of the den and went back to the fresh-kill pile. She sat beside it.
