"What is it?" Wildpaw asked, suddenly feeling uncomfortable. Blue eyes wide, he took a step closer, looking back into her golden eyes. Once again he felt lost in them, but this time was not completely drawn into them. His black fur bristled slightly with anxiety, eager to hear what she had to say. Peering into her face, the black tom gulped. "Tell me!" he begged.

I blushed even more. I saw his eyes and i let myself get lost in them. "I-IThinkILoveYou." i blurted out. I blushed crimson. And it was now showing in my fur. oh great! why did i have to do that?! i wondered.

Breath catching in his throat, the black tom staggered slightly, shocked. "I-I uh..." he struggled for words, suddenly feeling as they he were battered by too many emotions. Shock, joy, excitement, guilt, fear, and even anger. This is against the warrior code. What if someone finds out? What am I doing? What is she doing? W-We're not supposed to...we're from different clans. What should I do? Break it? What kind of a warrior am I? But, what's wrong with this? What could go wrong? Questions raced through his mind, each one contradicting the other. Head began to hurt, Wildpaw took a deep breath, the scent of Leopardpaw wreathing around him, mingling with the fresh cool air of the night.

The vole he had caught lay in the center, forgotten. For a moment, he felt guilt for killing it and now wasting it, adding it to the storm of emotions inside him. He gulped, and felt his heart hammering against his chest, and he felt surprised she couldn't hear it. What should I say? He said nothing.The apprentice bowed his head slightly, shutting his blue eyes tightly, trying desperately to calm the chaos in him, and to straighten everything out.

Tears came into my eyes and i turned my face hoping he wouldnt see.

"Ive told myself that this is wrong...But I talked to starclan in a dream...." my voice trailed off. I sighed and let the tears fall.

"I can understand why you dont like me..." i whispered. I felt the wind on my fur and i lay down calmly trying to pretend i was alright.

Still he said nothing. Flattening his ears, he cracked open his dark blue eyes. Steeling himself, he looked up, ever so slightly, but what he saw nearly made his heart stop. The golden she-cats eyes were glittering wetly, glistening in the light of the moon and stars.I can't...I can't....I can't hurt her like this...the warrior code isn't worth it. But-but...

The pain was unbearable, but Wildpaw looked up at her again. I know this is wrong, too. But this...I would die... Finally he opened his mouth. "I-I don't like you," he choked, forcing the words through his lips, his voice strangled. His heart seemed to heart more, and his vision swam. The warrior code isn't worth this!! He screamed in his mind. He stepped forward, in a few strides he was right beside Leopardpaw. "I don't like you," Wildpaw repeated, but then suddenly pressed himself to her. "I love you," he whispered fiercely, his voice strong but quiet. "I couldn't bear the thought of turning away from you. Ever. I couldn't lie to you...my heart felt like it was being ripped out. I love you! I do! And I don't care if this is wrong...even if it was the wrongest thing in the world!"

I was shocked by what he said. "You do?" My voice was soft. "Your amazing Wildpaw." I buried my face in his ebony black fur. "You dont know how long i have dreamed of this." i whispered. I felt the warmpth of his fur against mine and i purred. But then i stopped. "I only wish i could be beautiful for you." (taken from wicked! xD) I let a tear fall.

The young tom pressed closer to the other apprentice, breathing in her scent. He ignored the smell of MoonClan, ignored the constant nagging voice in his mind, telling him he was breaking the warrior code, and that it would get in the way of his loyalty to SunClan. Wildpaw let out a deep sigh, content, hiding the clashing emotions in him. Is she feeling the same thing?
