I pushed through the undergrowth, my fur shining in the light from the moon, The waterfall seemed to glow with its own iridescent light, making everything around it glow with radiating beauty. But, admist all of this i didnt feel happy.

In truth, i felt pretty miserable. Not only was today the aniversery of my mentor's death, but i was also in a terrible, to say the very least, sitaution with someone whom i had once called my friend. But i knew there was hope. i have my clan. and atleast my parents and siblings are alive. the thought floated through my head.

I slumped down on the grass looking out over the waterfall. "I wish i had atleast one friend. Then i would never feel alone again." I sighed.

Dewleaf padded over to the waterfall. She saw Leapordpaw sitting all alone near the waterfall. "Oh, hello Leapordpaw. Such a beautiful day, don't you think?" She said.

[Smokey]

Smokepaw padded into the clearing. "Hiya, Leopardpaw! How's it going?" she asked, happier than usual.

I looked up at the two. "It is beautiful. But, im not exactly happy. You know today was the day many moons ago that my mentor died. And" tears filled my eyes and i turned my head away again. "it was all my fault."

I let the tears slide down my face but, i was able to stop them quickly. I turned to them. "Im sorry." i whispered.

"Leopardpaw, you can't blame yourself for that," Dewleaf said.

[Smokey]

Smokepaw padded over to sit beside Leopardpaw. "I'm so sorry," she mewed, trying to comfort the apprentice.

I sighed. "Thank you Smokepaw. I guess your right Dewleaf." i mewed. "i guess its lack of sleep thats making me so sad or something along those lines."

Then i got up and looked at them both. "How are you?" i asked trying to change the conversation and tying to make them forget how pathetic i had just acted.

[Smokey]

"No problem," she mewed. "I've been fine."

"I'm doing just fine, and i'm even getting an apprentice soon!" Dewleaf said joyfully.

I nodded. "That's wonderful news! I might get to see my friend soon at the gathering!" i replied. I felt myself blush underneath my fur as i thought about Wildpaw of SunClan.

As i had told myself atleast one thousand times a day...
He's in another clan! how would it work out?! espacially if you became mates and had kits when your warriors!!!! but i couldnt stop the feelings i had for him. I pondered this as i waited for a response.

"Cool! You'll have to introduce me to your friend!" Smokepaw mewed happily.
