He glared at Swiftkit, becoming increasingly irritated of his sibling's assumed leadership. "Who said I wanted to be your apprentice?" he demanded, standing up from his spot outside the den. He had no wish to follow any cat who just decided they were better than everyone else, or one who was barely any older than he was.

Twistkit stalked away, drowning out the noise of his littermates. If they wanted to play clan, they could do it without him.

Eaglekit wanted no part of this "Kitclan." "Hey Twistkit!" Eaglekit yowled to his brother. "How about we sneak out of camp? Or do you want to do something else?" He added sorrowly.

Redkit felt hurt that he was ignored by his brother, but easily got over it. He heard Eaglekit ask if he wanted to go out of camp. He stalked over to him. "I want to," he said, shyly, almost wishing he didn't overhear his siblings.

"Really?! Thanks! Let's go, but we have to be quiet...." Eaglekit warned. He led the way towards the entrance of the camp. "Ready?" Eaglekit asked.

[Smokey]

"No problem, and yeah, I know," Redkit mewed. He slunk behind his brother. "I'm ready."

"Cool," Eaglekit said as he led Redkit out of camp.

She was about to join their own mini clan, but everyone seemed to get out it, so she didn't really bring it up again. "Redkit! Eaglekit! No!" She said, not shouting to alert the others. But it was too late. The kits already snuck out of camp. She sat down, wondering if she should tell someone yet. She didn't want to be a big tattle tail, especially against her brother Redkit, but what other choice did she have? It was extremely dangerous and against the rules to go out of camp. So many things could happen to them, especially in the mist of this weather.

Sleetpads watched her kits scrambled on about going their seperate ways."Dapplekit, whats wrong?" she looked around. She saw that bearkit was still sleeping. Okay. swiftkit was being arrogant,as usual, Pantherkit was being herself, along with Softkit, and a few other. She noticed twistkit alone. Redkit and flarekit were no where to be seen. "Moonkit come closer to me." she said softly and flicking her tail to get Moonkits attention.

Flarekit

~Flarekit had been on his way to go and sit with his sietr moonkit, but she hadn't noticed him. Regularily, he would have been pleased, but for some reason, he was not. He had been about to approach Moonkit, but she had left the nursery. He quickly slipped out of the nursery after her. He was about to call, when he remembered that Moonkit was deaf. If he called out, he would alert his mother, and other warrior, and it wouldbe pointless because she couldn't hear him in the first place. He quickly sniffed the air, and caught his sister's scent. He quickly followed the scent.~

Sleetpads woked early that morning, looking at the 13 kits that are now a moon old. There was Eaglekit, Moonkit, Softkit, Redkit, Bramblekit, Swiftkit, Pantherkit, Rockkit, Dappledkit, Stripekit, Flarekit, Twistkit, and Bearkit.
Purring Sleetpads looked down at the kits.
"Wake up little ones, lets not sleep the day away."
Instantly Swiftkit bounced up. "I've been waiting for that!" he huffed. "C'mon up! Up!"

As Moonkit stepped from the nursery she saw her mother gesture for her to come closer, but chose to ignore it. Perhaps there were some advantages to being deaf after all. She stepped to the side of the entrance so she would not get run over, and the lay down in a soft patch of grass. She had never planned to go far--not alone--just far enough to observe the outside world. She sighed contentedly, drinking in the sights around her. It is so much brighter out here!

After just a few minutes another shape emerged from the nursery. It was Flarekit, one of her quieter siblings. Her immediate reaction was panic. He will tell Sleetpads! She thought, and rose quickly to a sitting position. Perhaps he would not notice her. And if he did, she could just hope he would be different from the others and keep quiet.

~Flarekit watched quietly as Moonkit tried not to be noticed. He padded up to her quietly, and sat down beside her. He wanted to talk to her. She was the only of his siblings who he actually did want to communicate with, but she couldn't hear him, so what was the point? Perhaps they could figure out a way to communicate with each other so that they could understand each thought that they wanted to be expressed.~

She took a giant leap into the air when she heard her mother's voice. She didn't realize she was so tense. Trying to cover her embarassment, she mumbled, "Uh..." The thing with Dappledkit, was that she was a terrible liar. She stammered and wouldn't meet anyone's eyes. Sighing with frustration of herself she mumbled, hoping her mother wouldn't hear her, "Eaglekit and Redkit went out."
