I may have a kits name, but i am no longer a kit." She told Mistywater as she padded up to her, matching Mistywater pace.
"How come Poolkit got to be Medicine cat apprentice? I don't understand. Since there are two medicine cats, perhaps there can be two medicine cat apprentices?" She suggested. She sniffed around. "Wait, i smell Marigold and ..... I think watermint." |

"Actually, Mistywater, I'm 7 moons. My apprenticeship is long over due." she smiled at her age. "What do you mean, wont be two for long?" she cried quietly. She wasnt a very enthusiacstic cat. She was more calm and like to go slowly and enjoy each part.

"But you cant Mistywater!" she cried under her breath as she picked some Marigold. "Hey! I found some wild Colts Foot." she said.
"Mistywater, please don't retire so soon and don't talk to Dawnstar about my apprenticeship, if it matter to her, then she'll say something to me. Plus, that measn I don't have to train to be a warrior. I'm determined to not fight. I hate fighting.. i hate blood shed, " she began to let tears for the first time roll down her furry cheeks. |

mistywater stopped what she was doing and ran over to ebonykit "oh dear I'm 72 moons, we can still hunt together if you like its not like I'm not allowed to leave the elders den" mistywater said to ebonykit "I'll need you around more then ever once my kit become apprentices" mistywater said to the kit

Ebonykit broke out in a fury of tears. She rammed into the Mistywater and nuzzled her "Ooooooohhhhhhhhhh Please don't retire! Please don't pleasepleasepleasepleaseplease" she cried and sobbed in Mistywaters furr.She was sad becuase when cats became elders, that meant duties couldnt be fullfilled becuase they were close to death. Also, less important, Mistywaters was her only other chance to aviod warrio ship.
"Noooo!" she wail quietly "Its not fair! Elder is too close to death! You know that!" she cried helplessly. |
