Hunting for Hearbs (SmOkEy)

[Blue the Bumblebee]

Bluemoon padded into a clearing besidethe waterfall. She hoped her apprentice was still behind her. Poolkit? Are you still here? she meowed.

[Smokey]

"You know it," she purred. "Okay, so what are we going to look for first?" Poolkit asked, excitedly.

[Blue the Bumblebee]

Watermint. We don't have anymore. A lot of cats have had bellyaches this winter, and I used most of my supply. she meowed. Wait here. she meowed. She ran off, found a plant, picked off the top and ran back. Take a wiff, and try to find some. It's around here. That why we call it 'watermint'. Its found near streams of in damp earth.

[Smokey]

"Mkay," the little cat mewed. She took a whiff of the herb. "Smells like water...and mint. Just like the name!" She joked. "I'll be right back," Poolkit called as she jumped behind a bush. "Mmm-fff," is all she could say with a mouthful of Watermint. She dropped it at Bluemoon's paws. "There's loads back there!" She yowled happily. "Shall we get more? Or let it grow?" She meowed.

Well, we need to caryother hearbs. We'll come back angin tomorrow, maybe. Thats good, Poolkit! You are going tocome a skilled Medicine cat! Next we need Poppy Seeds. Thery are good for pain, and help cats who are in shock. I'll show you how to collect them. It's pretty tricky. Pick up the Watermint and I'll show you where they grow. she said, wlking east.

"Alright. I won't be talking much, though!" She purred. Poolkit picked up the watermint she had just found, and bounded east, toward her mentor.

Bluemoon skidded to a hult. She sat down, preparing to teach a lesson. This is Poppy Plant. We only use the seeds of it though. she bagain. As you notice, its growing in a great patch. When I was about your age, Mistywater showed me how to re-plant the hearb. Here is what we do. First, you pull out about three plants. she meowed. Then you go to the plants you pulled last time. I did these at the half moon. she continued. We'll have to take the plants back to the den. I'll take them, because you can't shke them too much, or else the seeds will fall out on the way back. I always leave one plant here though, so that way the patch can grow back. Do you have any questions?she aasked.

Poolkit sat down and soaked in what Bluemoon was telling her. 'Do you have any questions?' she had asked. "No ma'am," the kit replied. "Is this all for the day? I'm worn out!" The silver kit complained.

[Blue the Bumblebee]

Bluemoon smieled. It is a lot to tak in, isn't it? Lets go back to camp. she purred. Bluemoon picked un the hearbs and headed back to camp.

"Yes it is," Poolkit groaned. She picked up the watermint and padded after Bluemoon.
