Oceanstar leaped upon the high stump with a grin. It had been four sunrises since Angelkit had left EarthClan and joined FrostClan, and she was now 6 moons old. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here beneath the high rock!" The traditional call rang throughout the camp and Oceanstar watched as cats spilled from their dens. "We gather here today because Angelkit has reached her sixth moon. Angelkit!" She called, and waited for the apprentice to come forward.

angelkit jumped with joy this is the day her sister sparklekit of sunclan would be an apprentice to "yes oceanstar" anglekit said while padding though the crowd and she sat down and lightly set her tail over the fore paws at the foot of the highrock

The she-cat 's eyes were soft as the white kit stepped forward. "From this day forward, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Angelpaw." she meowed. "I ask StarClan to watch over and guide you until you find in your paws the strength and courage of a warrior" she continued. She knew the next part would be big for Angelpaw. It was a rare thing when a leader decided to mentor an apprentice. "I, Oceanstar, will mentor this apprentice in the ways of a warrior. My mentor was Duskshadow, and I plan to pass on his strength and wisdom to this young cat." she announced with a grin. She'd mentored only one apprentice in the past, and she planned to make it two with Angelpaw. She saw something in in the apprentice. She wasn't sure whether it was strength, loyalty, or something more. But something seemed to call to her, something that told her that she needed to mentor this apprentice.

anglepaw was SO happy she has the chance to this clan better now that the leader was her mentor "what now" anglepaw said with a grin hunting, fighting, eeewwwww elder work anglepaw thought

How come Oceanstar is mentoring her? Scourgepaw thought, shocked. She's not even supposed to be in our clan. If that's the only reason she left EarthClan, so that a leader could mentor her, then that's just evil. He glanced around camp, wondering if he was the only one thinking such dark thoughts. Suddenly he felt a bolt of fear. Was he slowly becoming more like his dead father? Surely Scourge would be the type of cat to think about things that way. The apprentice licked his black chest fur, hiding his anxiety.

Windracer
The she-cat's tail twitched at the end. She had recently asked her leader for an apprentice, the young cat was already more than 6 moons old, and without a mentor. She let a huff out through her nose before looking over to shatterdpaw. Sighing, she turned her head to highrock before looking down at the kit, she was an earthclan kit, but she seemed wise for her age, coming to a clan at such a young age. She was annoyed, yes. But anywho, this was a kind of celebration. She ignored her dissaproval and lifted her head feeling the wind on her face and surveyed the cats. she wondered if she should start shouting the cat's new name.

The small dark cat wandered out of the warriors den. His eyes narrowed as the sun hit them, he glanced up at high rock and rolled his eyes. another naming ceremony? How come all the other warriors got an apprentice.. and not him? Windracer had told him she would soon have one, and Cinnamonpelt would undoubtedly getting one soon. ugh. He had to stop being so pessimistic. He tried to shake off the feeling, but it stayed. He growled silently to him self and padded over to sit near scourgepaw. He rather liked this cat, he reminded himself alot of his apprentice days. and he was dark like him too. At least the cat had bright eyes. He had realised young that his eyes were odd. His name was a perfect reflection of it too. Maybe he could find a freind in the young cat, after all, he as sure they had alot in common. His dark blue eyes narrowed to slits when he saw who was being apprenticed. Angelkit? his lip curled. the was Earthclan! And Oceanstar was mentoring her. Ugh. What was becoming of his clan?

((Since we kind of finished the 'I'm Ready' thread, I'll go ahead and announce Shatteredpaw.))
Oceanstar sighed slightly at the reactions of her mentoring the EarthClan kit. "And there is, another apprentice, who needs a mentor. Windracer, you will mentor Shatteredpaw. This is your first apprentice, and I hope you will pass your skills on to this apprentice." she meowed, deeply hoping Windracer could keep Shatteredpaw under control. Him and his temper.... she thought with a slight sigh.

Windracers eyes flashed, and she looked up at highrock. Holding back the purr of deleight that was soon to errupt from her chest, she took a step forward. She looked to her brother and sister before weaving in and out of the gang of cats to meet her new apprentice. He had not made it to the front yet, still, she looked up at oceanstar before dipping her head to her leader 'Thank you, Oceanstar, I Won't let you down.' She turned to touch noses with shatterdpaw.
