Dawnstar sat in her den, and waited for Silverclaw. Nightpaw had just gotten a report from Nightpaw that he hadn't been teaching her anything. Dawnstar looked around her den, and still didn't see Silverclaw. She was about to get up when she scent him.

~Nightpaw sat outside of Dawnstars den nervously. What would happen?~


~Silverclaw entered Dawnstars den casually. What did the great leader want from him? He wondered.~

Dawnstar save Silverclaw enter, like nothing was wrong. He didn't seem to realize what his apprentice had done, and what he, himself had done. ' Hello Silverclaw, take a seat. ' Dawnstar meowed as she pointed to a small nest. She didn't even wait for him to seat himself before speaking. ' Nightpaw has told we what you've done. You've been in camp all day since she's become you're apprentice and you just boss her around like your slave. You've taught her nothing Silverclaw. ' She meowed. She tried to be as calm as possible, but who knew how he could react? He had a fiery temper, and Dawnstar didn't expect a dip of his head and a sigh. She felt herself prepare, but she also expected him to be loyal. What could he do? Kill her? Though that had swept her mind, she couldn't believe it.

But Dawnstar, I have been teaching Nightpaw things. How to hunt, how to fight, everything a warrior should know. She's just slow, and doesn't catch on. ~Silverclaw sighed.~ It's a shame that my apprentice is a little liar...

Dawnstar sighed, and as she breathed in, she scented Nightpaw. ' Nightpaw, sweetie , ' She meowed nicely. She had always really liked that apprentice. ' Let's see what you've taught her. ' She whispered to Silverclaw. ' Nightpaw, show me your hunting crouch. ' Dawnstar meowed. This would work. If her hunting crouch was off, she could tell. And then she'd ask her to do a move every apprentice should know.

*Nightpaw had wandered off. She couldn't take the suspense, andf so, had thought to try and clear her mind, by taking a short walk. She turned her ear back towards Dawnstar's den when she thought she had heard her name, but figured that she was imagining it. She continued walking. She slowly left camp.*

*Silverclaw had scented his apprentice outside, and hoped that she would leave. Dawnstar needn't see his hopeless apprentice's horrible hunting form, not that he had tutored her on hunting forms to even know what hers looked like.~

Dawnstar sighed and looked around as Nightpaw didn't come. ' Well, since I believe your apprentice, and if she was wrong she will be severely punished, until you can prove you've taught her, you will work like an apprentice. You will sleep in their den, and you cannot leave camp without another warrior. ' She felt something in the pit of her stomach, that something was really wrong. Really really wrong.

~Silverclaw silently turned on Dawnstar, his claws fully extended. He barreled into the leader with much force, his weight alone enough to suffocate a cat twice Dawnstars size in minutes. He placed his paw over Dawnstar's mouth to stop her from making a sound, the pads on his paws safely away from Dawnstar's teeth.~

~Nightpaw suddely felt something very wrong. She turned on her heel, and darted back to camp.~

~Suddenly, a little black bullet smashed into Silverclaws side.~

No! ~The tiny mostly black she-cat was attacking her mentor. She had knocked her mentor off of the leader. Nightpaw quickly slashed at the large toms face with her razor sharp claws. One particular strike left a large gash across his face. Her young, infant-like voice growled at the massive tom angrily.~ You don't hurt Dawnstar!

~Silverclaw fought back lazily, deciding it was best not to waste his energy on a worthless apprentice. Soon, he knocked Nightpaw to the ground. She lay motionless. Then, he slowly approached Dawnstar.~ Don't worry, she's with Starclan now.

Really, you think I'll go to Starclan? ~Came the infant-like voice. The dark apprentice barreled into her massive gray mentor angrily, claws raking his side. Silverclaw fought back purposefully this time.~ Well, I hope you like the dark forest. ~Nightpaw said, killing the large tom. Then, she backed off, her eyes wide.~ Oh Starclan! ~Nightpaw cried, before turning quickly and racing from Dawnstars den, and away from the Moonclan camp.~

Dawnstar gasped as the two fighted, and silently watched, and saw Silverclaw laying there, and Nightpaw was gone. What had just happened? She didn't know, but just just turned around and curled up to sleep. This had to be a dream. Had

A white cat slithered in, a little worried. He just saw Nightpaw burst out of the leader's den like there was no tomorrow. He wanted to see what was going on. He walked into the leader's den and froze. "Dawnstar! What happened!" He yowled. He leaned to sniff the body of Silverclaw. Nightpaw! He thought. "What do we do?" He asked. He guessed that Nightpaw killed Silverclaw, but why? How? That apprentice didn't know anything, let alone the killer bite.

muddyplet padded into the leaders den as a loner "dawnstar my a talk to you?" muddyplet asked the leader "may i join moonclan to be with mistywater? , for i was kicked out of frost clan" muddypelt said

Dawnstar just sat there for a moment, wide-eyed as her deputy came in. ' Talk later. I have to go, ' She meowed, running past Muddypelt and Redstorm to follow the apprentice.
