Scourgepaw

"Ahh!" he yowled in surprise. It was the worst thing he had ever smelled--worst than monsters, kittypets, the dirtplace, and mouse bile combined. The rancid stench burned his eyes and nose. Scourgepaw blinked tears out of his eyes and grit his teeth. Furious at the vanishing thing, he raced after it for a couple of steps, then stopped. He let out a final screech as its fluffy tail disappeared behind a bush.

Retching, he staggered back towards his mentor. Eyes watering again, he gagged and tried to hold his breath, but it covered Duststone's scent and his own. "Can I go back to camp?" he choked out. I really hope Cinnamonpelt can get rid of this smell.

Duststone watched his apprentice run after the skunk. When he came back Duststone got up from his sitting spot. "Come young apprentice." He said with a smile. "Do you know what that was?" He waited for a minute as they walked to the little creek. "Okay I will tell you that was a skunk, horrible creatures. But you learn to live with them. " Duststone saw a little patch of mud along the creek. "Come here! This will cover the smell, it will weaken the oder until cinnimonpelt can cure the smell. I want you to have the mud, you need it more then i do." Duststone said with a big smile. He could not tell how much Scorgepaw means to him. He is like a mini him, sometimes rude but at heart loving and responsible. Duststone took a paw full of mud and spread the mud along the back of Scorgepaw. Duststone covered Scourgepaw every were. "Know lets go to camp, but if anyone laughs at you tell me, I will come and scare them away from my oder. Duststone began to laugh. He paused and waited to see if Scourgepaw would laugh to for once.

Like any cat would laugh at me. They're too busy wondering what evil plans I'm making, Scourgepaw thought spitefully. But already it was bothering him less. After all, now he really was in cahoots with Scourge. Amakage...
Scourgepaw clenched his teeth as the mud dripped down his fur. It stuck to his body, and it was extremely uncomfortable. Just then, he noticed Duststone looking at him. He managed to force a chuckle, hoping it was believable. "Ha...yeah..."

duststone right away new the laugh was fake but its a start. Duststone is starting to stop thinking Scorgepaw as his father but more as a young cat tring to find himself and not his fathers shadow. "Lets go!"Duststone said his laughter has quickly left. he began to walk to the camp. he did not care if anyone would laugh at him or not he needed to make a point to scorgepaw and hopfull he will fiqure it out.

He padded quickly after his mentor, the mud already drying. He fought the urge to lick it off his pelt, but the thought of having to taste the skunk's spray stopped him.

As Duststone and Scourgepaw enetered the camp many cats sared at them.Duststone quickly wispered "Lets quickly run to the medicine den...go" he quickly runs and leaves scorgepaw and a cloud of dust.

He shot a glare at the watching cats. His pelt burned with embarassment. But there was a small hint of pride. None of the other apprentices had ever encountered a skunk. Scourgepaw scampered into the medicine cat's den.
