"Ha," Scourgepaw scoffed. As if I think they're better than me. I'm the who trains who my paws off everyday so I can prove I'm loyal in battle. The black cat glared at Starpaw, his pale blue eyes glittering. How could he be her best friend? They had hardly ever spoke to one another? "I've hardly ever spoke to you. How could I be your best friend?" Scourgepaw demanded. "Tell me."

"Hi, I'm Blossompaw!" the pretty she-cat said to Scourgepaw.

What's going on? he wondered. Usually hardly any cat spoke to him. When they did, he was in a group or they were lecturing him. How many spies does Oceanstar need?Scourgepaw's eyes narrowed, and he dragged his gaze from Starpaw to Blossompaw. He said nothing. He wouldn't have to. They would make the connection between him and Scourge. He had been NAMED after Scourge. He would never escape the curse.

"Whats wrong?" Blossompaw said. A golden tabby she-cat apprentice walked up.
"My name is Twinklingpaw," she said with a smile.

Starpaw looed ashamed. Because, You are the onlycat who ever enev looks at me. I'm always forgotten. You know, all I ever do is trytobe nice to you. You were my only friend. Now, well...I don't know. You are just a spoiledlittle cat who everyone knows about. Well, I"M DONE!I HOPE YOU ARE HAPPY,YOU SELFISH LITTLE MOUSE TEARD! She yoweled, tears streaming down her face. Goodbye, Scourgepaw. She hissed as she ran away. She had never been this hurt in her life. He was the only cat who ever even noticed her. Now, she was alone once again. She sat down on the furtherst edge of the clearing, and cried her heart out.

"Hey, its okay," Twinklingpaw licked Starpaws ear quickly. "Hes just different, thats all." She purred and lay next to Starpaw. "No need to cry."

The apprentice blinked, startled. Suddenly he felt guilty. The she-cat couldn't have been a spy--not with that sort of a reaction. He hoped no other cat had noticed. Then again, they probably expected that kind of treatment from him. Scourgepaw stood up and circled the edge of the clearing to where Starpaw and Twinklingpaw were. He stopped next to Starpaw, but as far away from the rest of the crowd as he could.
Scourgepaw hunched his shoulders slightly, not meeting Starpaw's eyes. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean it that way. I'm sorry, okay? Just, please don't cry," he begged, flattening his ears." Unsure what to do, he just stood there.

CinnamonPelt nodded, 'Indeed i am, Birdsong. I'm glad that you became medicine cat. Would you like to sit with us?'[/color] She beckoned her with her muzzle to come and sit by her.

Birdsong smiled and dipped her head. "Thank you," she said and came to sit next to the medicine cats.

Starpaw sniffed. It's okay. I overreacted. she purred.

Dawnstar looked around the clearing, and saw some apprentices chatting. She couldn't make it out, (not that she wanted to) and she kept looking. Where was EarthClan? ' This is a waste of time. ' Dawnstar meowed to Oceanstar as she stood up. ' Cats of all Clans! ' Dawnstar's strong meowed rung around the clearing, as if she was meowing in a cave and something called back. But nothing came back. ' It is time the gathering begun. EarthClan has no arrived, so I will go first. ' She meowed as her gaze swept through the clearing, searching for protests. But there were none. ' MoonClan has been great, and we've been lucky enough to have two litters of kits. One litter is Rainshines, and her kits are Harmonykit, Stormkit, Eaglekit, Blazekit and Dreamkit. The other litter is Mistywater's ' Dawnstar looked around once more, and she felt herself get a little hot. ' Her kits are Robinkit, Rockiekit , Banditkit , Lillykit , and Marshkit. ' She stepped back and sat down, wrapping her tail around herself. ' Would you like to go next Oceanstar? '

Nightwing turned her head away from Redstrom as her mother's voice filled the clearing. She padded back a little, so she could see the beautiful shape of her mother. Two?!?! She thought, as her tail peacefully swayed back and forth. And some large litters too . . . But as her mother said Mistywater, she almost broke out protesting. But she didn't She wouldn't do that to her mother.

Morningstar sat tall ask Dawnstar spoke. She wanted to speak first though. She ignored as Dawnstar offered it to Oceanstar, and stood up to speak. " SunClan's been good. Prey's been running well enough for leaf-bare. We've also gotten a new apprentice, Ivypaw, who couldn't make it tonight. We've gotten a new medicine cat named Birdsong. And that's pretty much all I can say for now. " Morningstar meowed, and she sat back down beside Dawnstar, and turned to Oceanstar. " Your turn "

CinnamonPelt squinted her eyes in confusion at Morningstar, she hadn't mentioned about SunClan's new medicine cat, Birdsong. Surely she would have wanted to mention this to look stronger? She shrugged off the thought. She would not question the ways of SunClan's leader. She looked over to Birdsong with a smile, maybe it was intened, but if it wasn't she didn't want Birdsong to feel left out or embarrased. She flicked her tail at Bluemoon; 'I wonder what's happened to Miricleweaver? (that's right.. right? lol) No EarthClan cats have arrived yet...'[/color] She looked up to the leader's spot, then back to Bluemoon, before looking to birdsong. Surely they would show up soon? Well... something had to be wrong, EarthClan weren't usually this late!?

Scourgepaw shifted his paws, feeling uncomfortable. He wasn't used to this type of stuff. Rather stiffly, he crouched down, only whiskers away from Starpaw. What am I doing?he wondered.
