It's supposed to be funny. like you know how people say "so and so doesn't bite, you know" if for example you don't want to sit beside them or whatever
Ashclaw would be fine. you can't always be BFF's with your mentor, besides, if they got along perfectly, if we decided to do some training RPing, then it would provide some rather dull posts (on my part), don't you think?
