Fieryheart: Deputy of EarthClan


Fieryheart smiled a joyful smile. She lept onto the High Rock, she let out the usual call. Fieryheart flicked her tail happily behind her but she was completely clam when she spoke. "I call this meeting for a certain kit to, for the first time ever in their life, become an apprentice." she waited awile for cats to get into the clearing. She was excited for Badgerkit(paw). Badgerkit was finally becoming an apprentice. Fieryheart sighed happily and waited patiently.

Darkstorm

~The tortoiseshell warrior sighed. She had been catching some sun when she had heard Fieryheart's call. She was up in a moment, and waiting for Fieryheart's Announcement. She quickly found a place to sit, and waited, listening.~

Checkerpelt

Checkerpelt hadn't move since the previos meeting about Brackenstar's disappearance. Now she looked away from Skytide, and up to Fieryheart, soon to be Fierystar. She had gotten her apprentice - Pantherpaw - moments after the announcement of the leader gone missing. Now another, kit was ready to be granted the life of an apprentice, which was one step closer to fulfilling their role as a warrior. The tortoiseshell she-cat sat silently as she waited for her deputy to speak such familiar words.

Pantherstrike

Pantherstrike had just got done talking with Fieryheart - his love. It was an argument, which is not good for any pair of cats. His eyes darkened, he sat down beside Firewing, a warrior tom who also looked like one of the cats from the acient clans. The apprentice den will be full soon, he meowed to the striped cat beside him, moving to a happier subject and sparking up to his normal self again.

badgerkit padded into the clearing his pelt shining in the sunlight. He had waited to long for this to happen for he was almost 7 moons. And now it was finally the day he became badgerpaw. His pelt as one of a badger was one of the shiniest here in the camp his mother wouldn't let him out with out a good washing . he couldn't help himself but to jump into the air with happiness, his freshly cleaned pelt turned into a dust ball after he landed



UGH TO SHORT

Oakfang dropped his freshly caught squirrell on the ground before padding over to join the gathering group of cats. Today she knew that they would give Badgerkit a new mentor. He desperatley wanted to mentor this kit, so he could be able to become the deputy of EarthClan. The muscular tabby knew that Fieryheart hasn't gotten her 9 lives yet, or taking the suffix 'star'. If Feiryheart assigns Oakfang as the little kit's mentor, than once she gets her nine lives, she had to choose her deputy before noonhigh. I mean who else is there to choose that is as strong and smart like Oakfang?

Foxpaw

The dark ginger tom slipped into the camp, amber eyes glinting as he watched the cats gathering for the apprentice ceremony. Only leaders are supposed to hold ceremonies. I suppose Fieryheart feels she doesn't need nine lives or the 'star' name to be leader. Ah well--I could hardly care any less. Foxpaw padded slowly toward the crowd, settling down near the back, quickly sweeping his gaze over them. He did it often, and not because they were his clanmates either. No, the devious young tom was more interested in dissecting their weaknesses and finding out their secrets. Not that any cat knew. Though he was a genius, and malicious as well, Foxpaw wove a perfect veil of deception.

Finchpaw

He quickly dropped off his fresh-kill on the pile. It was already his fourth time going out for some solo hunting, but the punishment given him by the deputy still hadn't ended yet. The extra hunting was becoming laborious. How long has it been since Graywhisker taught me anything new? Finchpaw wondered, sulking toward the rest of the already gathered cats. He is my mentor--can't he end it earlier? Letting out a sigh, the apprentice looked up at Fieryheart, impatient for her to continue already.

Graywhisker

Another apprentice... the warrior blinked his olive green eyes expressionlessly. Unlike most other warriors, Graywhisker was somewhat reluctant to have to pass on everything he knew to another cat. He enjoyed being more powerful and skillful. He wanted to be the best, and stay the best. At the rate Finchpaw was learning, once he became a warrior it wouldn't be long until he surpassed the gray tom. Even if he is like a younger brother to me, I don't want that to happen. I'm surprised Finchpaw hasn't said anything about not having any recent lessons or anything. Graywhisker had been taking advantage of every opportunity to get out of having to teach anything new. So far, no other cat had noticed this. But Finchpaw will say something sooner or later. I have to find a way to stop that.

Firelight

The young tom gazed at the kit as he approached Fieryheart. His violet eyes glinted as he remembered his own apprentice ceremony. I couldn't wait to begin training to become a warrior. Firelight grinned to himself at the memory. Brackenstar, his older brother and leader, had been his mentor. Though the pair had never been especially close, Brackenstar's fate seemed cruel and unusual. Why didn't StarClan do anything? he wondered vaguely.


Twistkit

Brown tabby fur bristling, he bounded out of the nursery. I wish I was the one becoming an apprentice today instead of Badgerkit. I mean, yeah, he's waited longer and he's older, but why can't I be an apprentice earlier? Is it because I have 12 littermates and there aren't enough warriors? The thought was discouraging, but his heart lifted again as he watched Badgerkit. I'll be next.

Ashfire slid from the nursery with a grin. One of her kits was becoming an apprentice. Just four more and she'd move into the warriors den as a full warrior of EarthClan for the first time. She scowled at the badger-colored kit as he bounced and messed up his fur. "Oh come on! I just fixed his fur, and now he's ruined it again..." she growled quietly to herself.

Poisonkit scowled as he slid out of the nursery. That could be me...the first step to becoming a warrior...but no, of course Badgerkit becomes an apprentice, but not little Poisonkit. 'Oh no, he's to small and weak, we need to find a better mentor for him!' puh-lease... he thought, glaring at all the cats gathering.

Firewing bounded over to the high rock as Fieryheart called her second meeting as leader. The large tiger-like tom grinned as he sat down and gave himself a quick grooming. Like all leaders before a kit became an apprentice, Fieryheart had asked him earlier if he'd mentor Badgerkit. Of course he'd willingly said yes, although he still missed his first apprentice, Streampaw. He saw great things in Badgerkit, and hoped he'd be able to bring the warrior out of the kit. He didn't have any clan blood, in fact no one but Ashfire even knew who his father was, but the strength those kits had...They must have a mighty father...

Darkstorm

~The tortoiseshell she-cat looked around. There were so many apprentices now. She was glad that Brackenstar had made her a warrior when he had. Then, when Sleetpadss kits were old enough.... She didn't want to think about the work that they would have to do to make the room for them. Then, when Sleetpads' kits were warriors..... that seemed so close, yet so far away until there would be not even room for a pawstep in the warriors den. Spotting her best friend Firelight, she quickly slipped over to him, and sat beside him. He seemed to be happy, and she guessed that he was thinking about when they had first become apprentices. Darkchaos had been her mentor then. After he had vanished, then Dragonstar had taken over the duty. Then, Stonewhisker had been assigned to be her mentor when Dragonstar had retired and become just Dragonclaw. She glanced at Firelight again, and noticed that his expression had changed. He must be thinking about Brackenstar... Darkstorm thought. They both had lost their first mentor in pretty much the same way. Mysteriously vanishing, but the thing was, at least they knew what had become of Brackenstar. Darkchaos was MIA and had remained that was. Gone without a trace. Sighing and without thinking, she leaned closer to Firelight, and rubbed her head under his chin. She stayed there for a long moment, thinking to herself, lost in her own world, and vacant in the real one. It must be harder on him since his mentor was his brother. I don't know any of my family, and since I wasn't born in Earthclan, then I probably never will.... Then, she realized that she had not moved, and realized what she was doing. She pulled back quickly and looked at her paws shyly, confused by her own actions. Her heart was pounding in her chest, she noticed that now. Firelight was her best friend, why did she suddenly feel so shy around him?~

Skytide

Skytide turned his attention up to Fieryheart. It was time Badgerkit became an apprentice.

Bramblekit

Bramblekit rolled her eyes as she padded out of the nursery. Why wasnt SHE becoming an apprentice? Surely Badgerkit was six moons, but she could probably beat Badgerkit in a fight any day! She snorted and sat next to Skytide, unaware of who the tom even was.

Redkit

Redkit padded out of the nursery oddly. 'Badgerkit is becoming an apprentice!?' He thought. He looked around for Eaglekit, but sat down near the nursery, waiting for his brother. He turned up to Fieryheart, who was about to make Badgerkit an apprentice.
~Who needs life? All you need is Trouble!~

Fieryheart

Fieryheart looked at all of the cats below her. She stood up tall, letting them all know to listen up. She had asked Firewing to be Badgerkit's mentor, and he had agreed. She flicked her tail slowly and happily.

Warrior of EarthClan

Brownpelt sat down, his pelt pricking with excitement. Another kit becoming an apprentice. He looked around at the faces of the cats around him. Pantherstrike looked angry, Checkerpelt looked tired and sad, Darkstorm looked annoyed, Foxpaw looked careless, Finchpaw looked hateful, Twistkit and Poisonkit looked furious, Graywhisker looked worried, and Oakfang looked anxious. He knew that not all of the cats were thinking about the apprenticement.

Fieryheart cleared her throat softly. Not in a demanding way, she learned not to act that way! Fieryheart glanced around at all the cats and noticed the just-joining Brownpelt, she dipped her head to the tom then looked back to her Clan. "Badgerkit, please step forward." Fieryheart flicked her tail for Badgerkit to come to the Highrock. She jumped from it and pricked her ears.
