Dawnstar The MoonClan leader padded into her camp, her apprentice and a rogue followed her. She felt very calm as she looked around for her deputy. Her amber eyes searched around the camp, but there was no sign of the red-eyed tom. The she-cat sighed deeply. He choses now to be out of sight. She felt a bit of annoyance but it did not show. The camp was awful quite, and the leafs of the holly bushes that made up the warriors den ruffling in the refreshing breeze. The grass in the camp was short and soft, and it got softer as you came up to the small creek that gracefully flowed through the camp. The quite sound of the water moving was calming, and it drew her over to the small creek. She lapped at the tasteless water, enjoying it's coldness. Her silvery head looked up as she though she scented her apprentice but it was nothing.
The message was clear that her apprentice must have stopped to hunt, or else she would've come sooner. Suddenly Dawnstar felt fear grip her heart for a moment, wondering if the young rogue had attacked her apprentice and left Smokepaw to suffer. But that fear soon slipped away as she remembered how soft the she-cat's voice had been and how innocently her eyes shone. You could never forget those sapphire eyes, piercing blue. And how much her white fur stuck out, like a Blue bird in a flock of geese. But she would be a great hunter during leaf-bare, her pearl white fur blending in with the shimmering snow.
The silver she-cat snapped back to reality when she heard the bush ruffle again, and she suspected her apprentice to come out. Her head rose from where she was drinking at the creek as her full attention was drawn to that bush. She was silent, but her gaze was intense. And there she stood, stiff as a log, waiting for something bad to happen. Sometimes are temptations are too much to handle

-----DESTINY OF NO CLAN-----
Destiny played the part of a follower as she was led to MoonClan's camp. As eager as she was to get there, however, she was constantly falling behind because of something unusual that had caught her eye. She never feared of losing Smokepaw and Dawnstar though because even when they were out of sight their scent left a trail as clear as day.
Despite all of her distractions, the she-cat did eventually reach her destination, though a bit after leader Dawnstar she could tell. After crawling through a slim tunnel nestled between tightly grown trees, Destiny found herself in the middle of a beautiful grassy clearing, complete with several structures which resembled a sort of den. A nice place to live. she decided with a satisfactory nod. Of course, she probably would have stayed had it been only half as nice, but that was of no consequence. Better to deal with what was currently happening than what could have happened.
After briefly observing the camp with her sparkling sapphire orbs, Destiny set it upon herself to find Dawnstar. The task proved easier than she may have imagined, for the leader was found next to a rolling stream through the middle of the camp with little trouble at all. As she padded softly over, the moon-colored she-cat felt the eyes of several onlookers upon her and the feeling made her nervous. The worst of it was that from the scents surrounding her there were more cats off somewhere else. Deal with the now. she reminded herself for what seemed to be the fiftieth time that day alone. Perhaps you should learn to take your own advice. That too was something her mind often whispered.
"I am here, Dawnstar." she mewed, greeting the other with a soft head dip. "Very sorry if I have kept you waiting. I am rather easily distracted at times." In truth, Destiny was a bit embarrassed by the confession, for she knew that some of the worst mistakes were made by being distracted. But then again she could not have them believe she had no weaknesses, for that would be a lie. Perhaps then it was better to embarrass herself.
-----following my heart no matter the consequences----- .x.Sorry Feath, I thought that was what you meant but I couldn't very well have Destiny just go on and ignore Smokepaw. Anyway, post is edited so we can all go on with our lives lol.x. [/blockquote]

Dawnstar Dawnstar felt relieved to see that the scent was just her apprentice and Destiny. She bound over to the two. ' Yes, MoonClan territory is quite magnificent, isn't it? When I was first apprenticed I spent days just exploring more into the territory. ' She turned her head to the side, scented for her deputy, then looked back at Destiny. For once disappointment was showed in her eyes. Her beautiful coat was ruffled by a musty wind, just before she started to feel water sprinkle her fur. ' Follow me to my den. ' She meowed, and turned around, ready to dash off to her den. And then she did so, splashing through the creek as she leapt up on the Moon Rock, and then causally walked over to smooth rock, making sure to keep perfect balance.
When she was safely in her den Dawnstar took some of the extra moss she had and made a nest for Destiny with it. There was also another small nest for any other cat, in this case Smokepaw. She was going to let her apprentice sleep in her den too just in case . . . She looked up for Smokepaw and Destiny, sitting in her own nest, lined with feathers. All the nests in Dawnstar's den were warm and dry. Dawnstar tried to listen for the sound of Destiny and Smokepaw's meows, because the rain had come with mist, and it was quite hard to see outside. The sound of the rain pattering on the rock was calming, and enjoyable. And it was the rain that had made the rock so smooth, because when it starts raining hard a waterfall it made in the entrance of Dawnstar's den.
Once again getting back to reality, Dawnstar shuffled in her nest. She waited patiently for Smokepaw and Destiny, and felt the need to get fresh-kill. But it would all be bad by now. She looked up, searching for sapphire eyes eyes, expecting to be in the mist. But they weren't there. So the she-cat just sat there, waiting.

Destiny watched as relief washed over Dawnstar's face, and the question of what the leader could possibly be worrying over crossed her mind. However, being the cat she was, she kept quiet. Sometimes you learned more from observing than you would from any other method, and the act of observance was one she had perfected. It really was a rather useful talent.
Having been distracted by her private thoughts Destiny was annoyed to find that she had missed most of what the misty gray she-cat had said, hearing only 'follow me to my den'. She watched the cat splash through the stream, flinching as several chill drops came into contact with her pelt. Eager to see more of this mid forest wonder, she followed, though her pace much slower than that of Dawnstar since she was in an unfamiliar place. For a moment as she stood upon a large rock the MoonClan leader had just passed over, the wind blew through her fur and Destiny thought, This is where I belong.
She was sure to make haste in hurrying along to Dawnstar's den, though once more she knew she had lagged behind. It would take a while for her to get used to having other cats around her. As she walked through the mist, a sapphire eyed shadow, Destiny wondered who it was this kind leader was looking for. Several times now she had caught a look in her amber eyes of disappointment, each going by without comment. You should not meddle in other cats buisness. Her mind whispered, speaking to her as if she were another cat as it so often did. But oh, how she hated not knowing things.
Soon, she emerged from the blanket of mist into a small cave in which Dawnstar sat, waiting. The den. It was a cozy place with a couple small moss nests around, presumably for her and Smokepaw. Why she, of all cats, was being allowed to sleep in the leader's den she did not know. Perhaps so she could be watched? The notion was not all that preposterous, after all, no one here really knew her. She sat down near the entrance, sure to provide enough room for Smokepaw to enter, and awaited direction from Dawnstar. It was better not to do anything that held the possibility of getting her into trouble.

Smokepaw
Lagging behind again, she thought with a frown. Steadily, she followed after Destiny, paws sinking into the marshy territory. Using her powerful haunches, she launched herself onto the smooth, Moon Rock, where Dawnstar called clan meetings. The apprentice looked around, mesmerized for a moment. Does she feel like this? she wondered. Of course not...she's leader. Does it whenever she needs to. Maybe when she first became leader, but that was before I was born... she noted herself. Coming back to reality, she went into the crevice that was her mentor's den. Mud had splattered her smokey fur earlier. Err, the she-cat muttered as she walked into the leader's den. Her green orbs saw that Destiny was sitting near a larger nest, presumed for her. Then, her attention swaggered to the smaller nest. For me, she guessed. Padding over to the small nest, she made herself comfortable and gave herself a few quick licks to get the mud off of her. Now she silently waited for her mentor to speak.

.:Summersong:.
Summersong was snoozing in the warriors den. It wasn't that late. She was worn out after a long, successful day of hunting. In fact, she had became fatigue finding food for her beloved clan. She liked that. If Summersong wasn't tired at the end of the day, part of herself believed that she did not work hard enough to meet the clan's needs. Summersong strived everyday to meet MoonClan's needs. From fetching food for elders and queens, to going on patrols and such.
A breeze ruffled her fur, awaking her from her afternoon snooze. Summersong yawned. Usually the chausie slept near the sides of the den- where the wind can not reach her. But today, she didn't care. Summersong was too tired to choose where she slept. Summersong yawned, and got to her paws. She padded outside the den, then stopped to briefly groom her short chausie fur. Each lick of her tongue was rythmic. Soon she was done.
A strange non-MoonClan scent danced around her nose. Teasing her nose as it the scent still lingered in the air. The scent was not MoonClan, thats for sure. Instead it was a loner's scent. The scent was a bit pugent like other strange scents. By strange scents, Summersong usually meant scents like other clans'. Not a moment too soon, she spotted Dawnstar, her apprentince, and a loner. Since the loner was with Dawnstar, she didn't want to question anything.
Not only was Dawnstar her leader, but she was also one of Summersong's best friends. As an apprentince she and Dawnstar were the best of friends. She remembered how they would have been excited about training and such. Over time their friendship still lasted. Even though her friend Dawnfrost became Dawnstar. She had a lot of trust in Dawnstar. Summersong never questioned anything her friend had decided before.
While Summersong was busy remembering the good times, Dawnstar had padded into her den along with the others. Summersong followed them. She wanted to know why this loner was here. The she-cat poked her head into her leader's den. "Dawnstar?"

Dawnstar Dawnstar was about to open her mouth to speak, but her friend poked her head through, and drew Dawnstar's attention to her. It was no bother, her friend was allowed in her more than most warriors, as hard as Dawnstar tried not to play favorites it just felt right for Summersong to be in here. The silvery she-cat moved over a bit in her nest, making room for Summersong. ' Take a seat ' She kindly mewed, then turned back to Destiny.
A thought flew threw her mind about remembering to talk to Redstorm, but she ignored it. ' So, Destiny, if you were a loner, I presume you know the basics of hunting and fighting. ' The she-cat meowed, the tip of her tail slowly going up and down. Her gaze quickly flickered from Destiny toSmokepaw, but rested on Destiny once more. ' You may know those basics, but to get to know the way to fight and hunt like a MoonClanner, Summersong will be your mentoring for a few moons. ' But before saying one more word Dawnstar turned to Summersong. ' That is, if you're up for it. ' Then she turned to Smokepaw. ' Tomorrow you won't be training with me. Instead you will be getting Destiny whatever she needs for the day. Treat her as you would treat any MoonClan elder. I do not want anyone to know Destiny is here until tomorrow, that will give me enough time to think of what to say. ' Saying that made her feel . . in power. She did not loth that feeling but she did not love it either. She needn't no deputy to tell her how to run her clan. She was MoonClan leader, not him. Dawnstar's gaze moved back to Destiny, and didn't move. I hope she can survive here, without feeling too out of place. [/blockquote] Sometimes our temptations are too much to handle

Smokepaw finished smoothing out her previously mud plastered coat, when Summersong, her mentor's good friend poked her head in. The brown she-cat wanted to come in and Dawnstar said a simple 'yes', not hesitating one bit.
The silverey leader spoke to Destiny, the loner Smokepaw had found first, then turned her attention to the apprentice. 'Just like an elder'. Of course, the smokey colored cat thought with a lash of her striped tail. A common apprentice task, her mind thought. Sure thing, Dawnstar, Smokepaw agreed, refferring to both of taking care of the moon colored she-cat and the gossip getting around about the newcomer.

Summersong nodded her head when her friend moved over a bit. She entered the den and sat down besides the silver cat. Summersong didn't like to use moss as nesting material. She always liked to sleep on the ground without it. Then again, she was grateful for it on harsh leaf-bares when the ground was ice cold. The moss would have saved her pelt from being cold.
Then something intresting made her ears perk up. Summersong had just heard with her ears that she would be mentoring Destiny for a few weeks. Menotoring Destiny, eh? Summersong shot a brief glance at the white cat with her golden speckled amber optics. The white loner was on the moss nearest to the entrance.
Summersong never had an apprentince herself before, but she was one... A while ago that is. Hopefully, Summersong could remember a couple of things that her mentor taught her about fighting and hunting like a true MoonClanner. She knew how to use MoonClan's techniques, but that was just MoonClan instincts telling her how to fight and pounce.
Summersong thought for a bit, before deciding. Am I even fit enough to be one? She hesitated then nodded. "Sure. I would be honored to be her mentor for a few weeks."
Summersong chimed confidently. I mean how bad or hard can it possibly be?[/blockquote]

Following Smokepaw's lead, Destiny curled up in the nest presumably meant for her. As she stepped into it she felt her paws sink down into soft deep green moss. It was a nest any cat could envy, but she felt awkward and uncomfortable. She had been presented with many new things in a short period of time and it was starting to make her feel overwhelmed. Having another clan cat enter the den did not help.
Sapphire eyes always looking for hidden feelings, Destiny could not help but notice the look of pleasure crossing Dawnstar's face as the new cat requested entrance. The two were obviously friends. However, nothing could distract the leader from what currently needed her attention, for she wasted no time in deciding what to do with the moon colored loner they had stumbled upon.
A brief nod of her head confirmed what Dawnstar had said. Destiny considered herself good at both hunting and fighting, even if she only preferred to use one of those skills. What could possibly be different about the way clan cats did such things, though, had her stumped and she hoped it would not be too hard to learn. Having Dawnstar's friend for a teacher would be nice.
"When do I start training?" she asked, her voice soft and quiet, yet easily heard to all. She had noticed uncertainty on Summersong's face as she agreed to teach her, and Destiny decided right then that she liked her, for no cat was perfect and it was good to be aware of it. She also thought that the older cat would do find edcucating her in the ways of the clan. Now if only I could be as sure of myself as I am of others.
