-----DESTINY OF NO CLAN-----
Destiny sat on the shore, staring down at her reflection in the small, shimmering blue waves of the river. Looking back at her were sad sapphire pools that she knew were her own eyes. Her encounter with the cats Amber and Lonefire, one of whom she hoped to soon cross paths with again, had awaken in her a desire to once more live among those like her. Living alone could only satisfy you for so long before loneliness took over.
So here she was, in an unfamiliar forest, with potentially dangerous cats lurking not far away who, for all she knew, were watching her at that very moment. And yet, I do not care. she thought with a dejected sigh. Her stomach rumbled from hunger, though she was not at all compelled to swipe her paw at the fish swimming casually along below her in the crystal clear water. Perhaps it would be best if I just left and started anew; if I forgot everything that happened prior to and during my short stay here. but she knew that there was little chance of that happening.

Smokepaw of MoonClan
The smokey colored cat stumbled along the way to Shining river. Moments before she got there, she scented an unfamiliar cat. Smokepaw continued walking, but more gingerly. Finally, a moon colored cat came into sight. You. What are you doing on MoonClan territory? she asked, not sounding hostile much. The apprentice sat down on the other side of the river, eyes kept on the new comer, and waited for the cat on the other side to reply.

-----DESTINY OF NO CLAN-----
Destiny raised her brightly colored eyes from the flowing water to stare across at the cat who had manage to approach without her having knowledge of it previous to their utterances. MoonClan. This is one of those cats Lonefire mentioned. Weary because of the strange cat and unfamiliar surroundings, yet eager at the prospect of acquainting herself with another cat she replied, "Sorry. I was not aware the land in this area belonged to anyone in particular." in the beautifully innocent and musical mew that was hers to use. It may not always be evident, but Destiny was only twelve months old and whenever her emotions got particularly strong, it showed.
Destiny had met the cat's green eyed gaze she spoke just as always, but instead of continuing to hold it, she had allowed her sapphire pools to wander and observe. The cat, a girl like herself from the scent, was covered in a striped smokey gray pelt, and although she was about her own size, Destiny assumed her age to be several months younger than her own twelve. She had been small since before she could remember.

Smokepaw of MoonClan
Smokepaw had waited patiently for the moon-ish coated she-cat to reply, and now it had come. The cat across the river lifted her head up, and gazed at the apprentice for a bit. The 'paw was astonished by the she-cat's sapphire eyes. They're beautiful! her head squeaked. It's okay, the smokey MoonClan apprentice said, easily accepting the loners apology. So what are you doing out here?
OOC:// Wait, Destiny would be on SunClan territory. `~` My bad. Lol.

She blinked, then breathed a sigh of relief and gave a small smile. Perhaps I was wrong about these cats. She accepted my apology seemingly without a second thought. Her eyes had now removed themselves completely from the she-cat, and were now searching the river for a crossing point. Spying a few rocks close enough together to form a pathway, she hurried over and leaped across the trail above the rushing water with effortless agility. Once on the other side, she stepped closer to the clan cat. It would be much easier speaking at this distance than having to make her voice heard over the sounds of the river.
Destiny contemplated a reply to the she-cat's second question, for it changed every time someone asked. Not that she ever lied, just that she had never decided on telling anyone exactly what had happened. "Well, I had to leave the place I used to live and came here in search of somewhere new." Her voice was kind, yet there was a certain glint in her eye that said no one would be getting anything else out of her unless it was on her own accord.
"So, what is your name?" She inquired, suddenly filled with curiosity for the forest cats. How did they live? What were their names like? And most of all, how many of them were there?

Smokepaw of MoonClan
Smokepaw's eyes grew a bit wide for letting the she-cat come onto MoonClan territory and not saying anything. Earlier, the cat was on SunClan territory, but a clan cat could never be too safe. The sapphired eye cat answered her question from a moment before. 'What is your name?' the apprentice had heard. My name is Smokepaw. I'm training to be a MoonClan warrior! she squeaked. So what is your name? And about trying to find a new home, I could talk to my leader, Dawnstar about it. Smokepaw would be happy to have the cat in her clan. She was already seeming like a friend.

She softly murmured the name aloud a few times, and then repeated it to herself just as many. It reminded her vaguely of Lonefire's name in the way that it also seemed to have two parts to it. She would have to ask about that sometime. Do the different parts have meanings? was just one question she was suppressing.
Destiny chose to temporarily ignore what Smokepaw had said about 'training to become a warrior' because she knew that if she thought about it too much than her mind would be filled with a billion more questions. She had never felt like she knew so little before in her life. "My name?" The words were posed as a question for she had just noticed that Smokepaw had returned her inquiry and was probably awaiting her answer. "Most call me Destiny. And you know, I think I would like that, if you would talk to Dawnstar." Destiny mewed with a smile. This day was turning out not to be so bad after all.

Smokepaw of MoonClan
Smokepaw listened as the she-cat answered her question. Destiny... she purred. It's a wonderful name! the smokey colored cat sqeaked, green eyes filled with joy and happiness. Wait here. I'll go and get Dawnstar. With that, she ran off in the direction to camp to fetch her leader and mentor to inspect the sapphired eyed cat that wished to join the mighty MoonClan.

Dawnstar The silvery she-cat that was known as the leader of MoonClan was enjoying a juicy vole when Smokepaw dashed in. Reading his eyes like a book she stood up, her beautiful coat shining in the intense sunlight of green-leaf. She followed after her bright apprentice and came to the Shining River. Did she want to train here again . .? But as she approached she saw the slim shape of a white she-cat, most likely to be a loner. Ugg . . I'm sick and tired of dealing with loners. But if it means more warriors I guess I should accept, after all, SunClan could strike at any time . . The MoonClan leader thought. ' Who is this? ' She meowed, looking the she-cat up and down. Dawnstar's tail calmly swayed back and forth as she waited for a reply.

Smokepaw of MoonClan
Smokepaw was pleased that she got her leader to follow her. 'Who is this?' Dawnstar had asked. T-this is Destiny. She was on MoonClan territory. I didn't dare attack an older cat...especially one I don't recgonize, she mewed in response, bending the truth a bit. And..and she wishes to join MoonClan.

She dipped her head in a nod as the clan cat ran off, both to thank Smokepaw for the complement on her name and to assure herself that joining said 'MoonClan' was indeed what she desired. After thinking about it for just a moment she flopped down upon the soft green riverside grass and sighed. Why do there have to be so many choices? she whined to herself, but she already knew the answer. If there were only ever one or two choices in life to make, then it would all be much to easy and you would never really develop strength of character. It was not the first time her wisdom had frustrated her.
Eventually she calmed back down and began to realize how beautiful the area she currently inhabited really was. She had been amusing herself by observing the birds fluttering through the trees when two scents hit her at once, one now familiar and the other, while similar, not. Aiming on giving a good impression of herself to this Dawnstar character, Destiny sat up and curled her tail around and over her small, delicate front paws. She waited patiently while Smokepaw gave a quick explanation and then said, "Greetings, Dawnstar. As Smokepaw here has said, I am called Destiny and I am searching for a place to live. I was curious to whether you would let me join.." she thought for a moment, "..MoonClan?" Even though she had momentarily forgotten the name of the group, she was well aware how odd such words must sound coming from a small she-cat such as herself. However, she would not be worrying about such things now for she had transformed into the older, polite side of herself.

Dawnstar The she-cat slowly nodded her head as her gaze moved from her apprentice to Destiny. ' So, you'd like to join MoonClan? ' For a brief moment she was about to say yes, but did not want to make it sound as if her clan needed the help. Instead she said; ' You may come back to our camp with Smokepaw and I but I must discuss this with my deputy. ' Dawnstar was being very generous by offering this rogue a place to sleep. ' And by saying that I'm letting you sleep in my den. A high honer for any cat; roue or warrior. Come on- the camp is this way ' And as she meowed that she turned around and waved her tail to let them both know they should follow her. I just hope I'm doing the right thing . . .[/blockquote] MoonClan

A dip of her creamy head showed the respect Destiny held for this leader. How she knew it was the correct display even she was unsure, perhaps from instinct, or maybe even StarClan themselves. Either way, she felt as though she was finally doing the right thing. "Thank you, Dawnstar, for at least considering my request." were the words accompanied by her action. At the older she-cats signal, she got to her paws and padded along after.
She stuck close to the two clan cats as they traveled back through the forest to their 'camp'. As they did so Destiny could not help but wonder if the others in MoonClan would accept her as easily as young Smokepaw here. However, she forced herself to put the thought in the back of her mind and concern herself with the there and now. But though she had chosen to ignore it, the thought was still there. Would a small and young, yet wise, she-cat as herself fit in?
