Rainshine

The gray she-cat sat there, happily watching her kits. She hadn't an idea why Eaglekit was acting so negative, but maybe that's just what he'll be like. The she-cat slowly slid down to lay herself down on the sort and soft grass. The tip of her tail slowly came up and down. She felt sadness pierce her heart, thinking how happy Michio would have been to see how much his kits had grown. She sighed and put her head on her paws, falling asleep.


Rainshine's eyes slowly opened, find herself still by the cherry trees. She saw her kits happily playing. And then she blinked and saw the spirit of Michio standing beside his kits. Their kits. She felt happiness rise into her heart. But she knew she was dreaming, because when she called for Eaglekit he ignored her, thinking she was just asleep. She padded over to Michio, then realized her body sleeping. So this was real . . but Michio had summoned her spirit. She touched his muzzle but he remained silent. Then his blazing green eyes met her icy eyes. ' They're so beautiful, aren't they? ' She meowed. Michio looked down, and for a moment Rainshine focused on the cherry blossoms gliding on the gentle breeze. Then he looked up, and opened his mouth . . . .


Rainshine's head flew up. She looked around for Michio but there was only her kits. She sighed, putting her head back down. Stay away from Rainpaw! Her father's harsh words to Michio echoed in her head. She looked up at the sky and watched the clouds as the breeze ruffled her fur. She closed her eyes, picturing Michio. He would have been a perfect father to their kits. She opened her eyes again, watching her kits play. If only …………

Storm kit lookedat his mother. Whats wrong, mummy? he purred as he walked over. He loved hismother very mouch,and hatedto see her sad. It broke his heart, even thought he had no clue what she was sad about. He layed down nextto his mum, and snuggeled into her fur.

He looked behind him to see his mother, looking very sad. He wasn't immature like the rest of these kits, but he wasn't heartless. He loved his family, and so, with that being said, he walked up to Rainshine. His eyes sparkled with concern, questioning why she was like that without any words coming out. He tilted his head to the side, in a cute adoribable way that would make any two-leg pick him up and start to pet him.
