Icekit and Citruspelt - Entering Fox Territory

"Alright. Nice name, Mew," he meowed. "As you know, I am Citruspelt. And that's-" he flicked his tail where Icekit was standing a moment ago. "....Icekit," he ended. The dappled tom was getting worried now. He paced. Minutes passed, and he still didn't come. Finally, he decided to look. "Icekit? Where are you? I'm sorry!" he was yowling repeatedly. For having a snow white pelt, he's hiding pretty well. That is...if he is hiding, he was thinking. He turned back to Mew, sick with worry. "Mew, I have something to confess, that no other cat knows," he meowed, still frightened that he might have lost the kit. "Icekit....is my son."

"Thank-you," she mewed to the tom. Icekit had disappeared and Citruspelt had went to look for him. She waited patiently, as the dappled cat came back. Her jaw dropped. "What?" she whispered, barely audible. "The snowy kit is yours!" she exclaimed. Icekit had heard, BOTH of them.

Icekit heard them both. He dashed out of the leaves, and they barely rustled at all. He only wanted one thing right now - to be alone. He dashed into one of the fox dens, thinking it was empty.

Citruspelt saw something white flash out from the leaves at the corner of his eye. Oh no...he heard me! "No! Icekit, please!" He raced after the snowy kitten. The tom saw a tiny tail slip into a fox den. It's rancid stentch was in the air, stronger than before. "No!!" He yowled. Citruspelt didn't care right now. He would die, to save his kit. Dashing into it without thinking, he awaited what would happen.

Icekit traveled through the den, and came across a section that smelled pretty interesting. He walked into the section, and saw a bunch of well-fed fox kits about his age. "Umm... Hi!" Icekit said. One of the fox kits came over and sniffed him. "Hi!" it said. Its voice was different from any cat he had ever known. "Whats your name?" Icekit asked. The fox kit twitches its ears and spoke. "My name is Fuzz. That over to the left is Spud, and to the right is Mute." said the fox. "My name is Icekit." Icekit said. "Well thats a funny name for a fox." replied Spud. "Uh, im not a fox. See?" said Icekit, lifting up his tail to show the three fox. "Then how can you understand us?" asked Fuzz. "I... I dont know..." Icekit replied. "Mute nodded and flicked her tail like a cat would, as if he she were telling Spud and Fuzz that Icekit is a cat. "Well, I like you guys. I just figured something out... I think its cool, but im a little confused also..." Icekit said. "Whats wrong?" Fuzz asked. "I... I just figured out that my friend Citruspelt is my father, and im not sure if I should be happy or mad or... whatever..." Icekit explained. "I would say just go with the flow, dude. All cat-like animals go through a stage in theyre life where something goes wrong." Spud said. Mute nodded, as if agreeing. "I agree with Spud, but just talk to Citruspelf himself. Maybe there is a reason he didnt tell you?" Fuzz answered. "Dude, Fuzz is right." Spud replied. Icekit nodded. "Thanks guys. Want to come back to FrostClan with me?" Icekit asked. "Whats that?" Duzz asked, tilting his head. "Its a clan that a bunch of cats live in. Beleive me, just lie and say your a cat. Citruspelt wont tell the leader." Icekit replied. Fuzz nodded, and followed Icekit out of the den. They bumped into Citruspelt on the way. "Hey dad!" Icekit said, happily sitting in front of his father. The three foxes squeaked something out that Citruspelt couldnt understand. Only one cat could understand.

Citruspelt stopped whenever Icekit was in his sight, along with 3 fox kits. Oh no... The snowy cat was speaking to them? Is that even possible? he wondered. Icekit was padding his way toward the enterance, so he quickly waddled to the opening. 'Hi Dad!', the kit had squeaked. "Hello...son?" Right now, the dappled son was confused. He confessed he was this kit's father to a loner, the kit had overheard, and now Icekit was interacting with fox kits?! He glanced at the 3 fox cubs. "Icekit, what are you doing with those kits?" he demanded.

"Dad, meet Fuzz, Spud, and Mute!" Icekit said. The three fox kits waved theyre tail as if they were saying hi.

"Um, hello, Spud,Fuzz,and Mute. I'm Citruspelt." He nodded his head in greeting. How does he know that...?

Spud started to squeak something out. "He says 'Dude, youre a BIG cat, dude...'. Anyways... dad, can they please come with us to FrostClan? Im sure they can act like real cats! They can even look like real cats! See?" Icekit said, going behind Fuzz and Straightening up his tail. Icekit then smoothed down all of Fuzz's fur. Fuzz basically looked like a cat with a fox's coloring now. "See dad? Exactly cat-like." Icekit said. "We can say they are all mute and we are fine!" Icekit begged.

"Icekit, you should know foxes are enemies of the clans." Citruspelt glanced at the 3 fox kits. "Though they seem friendly and harmless, they could have easily attacked you and ended your life. No offense to you kits." Might as well bring them to camp....I mean, Fuzz does look a cat with fox coloration, he was thinking. "Fine. Make them all look like Fuzz. We'll say they're rogue kits that were on our territory." This is a bad idea... the dappled tom mewed under his breath.

Icekit nodded and smoled happily. He turned to Mute and fixed up her fur, and then turned to Spud and did the same. "There. All fixed up. You guys ready to go?" Icekit asked. They all nodded, acting mute like Icekit suggested. "lets go!" Icekit said happily, dashing past Citruspelt with the fox kits following close behind. They got out of the den and Mew was still sitting there. Icekit walked over to the cream-colored cat. "Hi Mew!" Icekit said, sitting in front of her with the three new "cats".

The tom watched as Icekit worked his 'magic' on the 2 remaining fox kits. He asked if they were ready, and swiftly swished passed him. Cituspelt bounded forward, not even trying to run. Soon, they were where he had left Mew. Truthfully, he was surprised she waited for them. "Yeah, umm...sorry for running off like that," he meowed to the creamy colored cat.

Citruspelt had left her alone, once again. She had continued waiting, and finally, the two cats returned. "Hello, Icekit." She glanced at those who followed him. "Who might these kits be, Citruspelt?" she questioned. But before he could answer, Icekit said "_"

"Hello, Spud, Fuzz, and Mute. I'm Mew..." she meowed to the fox-like kits. "Where did you find them?" she asked the snowy kitten.

"I found them in that at the end of the fox den. They werent actually IN it, just NEAR it. They are mute, but I taught them a special way to talk to me through special signs. Right guys?" Icekit said, turning to the three "cats".
